Hawks plays tonight Kings @ Sacramento, so they will be playing a back to back.

This will be a statement game for either team. Let's hope it's the Jazz. Expect a tough game.

Gotta take care of home court and put together a string of wins against good teams to help us build confidence. Go Jazz!

Home court confidence and swagger needs to happen asap. We must go back to being a dominant home court team. The Jazz fans once feared are now run of the mill fans. The excitement about this team is needed. I know I will be cheering for the Jazz loudly at Laker arena on Jan 25, 2011!

I think it's hard for the fans to get excited about this team, they are so inconsistent and honestly...they are not super exciting to watch. We don't have any super athletic guys on the team anymore who make those WOW plays outside of Price and Evans and they play sparingly. We don't score very much and we play a grind it out type game. It doesn't help how slowly we start games either. The fans are still awesome for the big games (like the Lakers) or down the stretch in close games, they just need some help from the team to get excited about them again.

I'm really hoping the Jazz can put together a complete game against these guys. It would be a great win and a good confidence boost if they could play to their full potential and really throw down the hammer on these guys. The hawks always seem to give us problems with their athleticsm but I'm hoping our bigs of Millsap and Jefferson can finally play well together at the same time....it's been far too long since both of those guys had big games on the same night.

I've been so incredibly bored watching Deron play this year. We should trade him for a super exciting athletic player like J.R. Smith

If anything, I think this team has been more exciting to watch this year! As a Jazz fan, I want a blowout every night. As a basketball fan, the comebacks are a blast to watch and add a ton of excitement. I actually like the way they play. They are throwing a LOT more alleyoops than ever, CJ is always a rollercoaster to watch, and Deron is flat out dominating. I'm having a blast!

I agree I would rather have this team and win over a team like the Warriors. That are exciting to watch but dissapoint you in the end.

I will worry about how the Jazz are playing when they start losing. There are only thee directions they can go from here. One - Stay on the same path and keep winning. But not in a convincing. Manner. Two - improve and start dominating.. with a few letdown here and there. Three- start losing alot of games that they can't come back from.

I'll. Take option 1 over option.three.

I get the irony and you make a good point, but I see where UTJazzFan_Echo1 is coming from too...except I don't know if it's as much a matter of being "exciting" as bringing energy and a competetive attitude to games.

It hasn't been like that all season, but the last few weeks have been hard to watch. Grinding out late, close wins to bad teams is not the way to assert your team, and abstracts like momentum and "swagger" really do make a big difference.

I'm not saying that more than casual fans such as ourselves don't enjoy watching the games. To me, the casual fan doesn't enjoy watching this new team as much as our previous teams.

The last few years we had one of the most high powered offensive teams in the NBA. We also had the fan favorite Matthews last year and we had an athletic guy in Brewer for awhile and heck even Booze had his moments where he would put up a monster game or slam down a nasty dunk on someone. This years team is just different, they grind things out instead of suffocate the other team with overwhelming offense.

Overall, our team isn't as exciting to watch (to the casual fans) this year IMO. Maybe it's not even about the team or how they play...it almost feels like the fans have a hangover from all the stuff we've been through over the last couple years with Booze and maybe even from losing Matthews or something...

IDK, Just my opinion.

Winning is winning to me,however i agree completely. I was the biggest Ronnie brewer fan and had dreams of watching CJ and Brew grow up together and becoming the sickest 1,2,3 in the league with D-will. I like Big Al alot more these days then at the beginning. When he finds his spots faster i think he will be able to throw it down more.

Looking back however the Spurs,Lakers even with Shaq, and the Celtics now are not the most flashy teams in the world they just get it done. I think this team has a shot to be a much more focussed team then the Jazz of the past. We love the old Jazz teams so much however they were never more then a 4 seed. This team has a shot at being the 2 seed in the west this year in the end. We are not even close to playing our best ball. The mavs i think peeked early, and now dont have Butler. The Lakers are a great team however are missing the killer instict right now. The Spurs are going nuts however if they lose to the C's tonight and we win, we are only 4 out from the 1 seed, with 3 more games against the Spurs.

This team has its moments too when it comes to dunks. This years bench i think is one of the best in years! The mighty mouse line up has kept us in games and even helped bring us back. Its the starters that need to wake up and play with more energy. Big Al and Bell are very good players however i think they need to play with more energy. they seem too layed back to me. The good think is this team is not even close to playing top mlevel ball. We usually have great Januarys!hopefully thatv trend continues because we could find ourselves the 2 seed by the allstar break if we do.

Lets play with energy tonight boys the Hawks love to fly, let smash them in down low! Go Jazz

Really??? I'm pretty sure I've had all the excitement I can take with all of these comeback victories. We may not have super athletic players who will do 360 dunks just for the hell of it. But in reality a layup off the backboard is worth just as many points.

I'll say this; I have about zero interest in watching the first quarter. In fact, I regularly only catch the 2nd half.

I hear that. Those first quarters are really frustrating. They are one hell of a 2nd half team to watch though.

Millsap is a game time decision. If he sits AK will start at the 4, that might not be bad against Josh Smith.

And Hayward at the 3. I kind of like that. Millsap got abused by Josh last time, and it also gives him (Paul) time to recover well. He's always banged up, and even though he is a warrior, it takes a toll, especially someone undersized as he is.
