Comcast Question

Hey guys. I just have a question that I cannot seem to find the answer for. For those of you that have Comcast, is FSN in their channel lineup? Are all Jazz games broadcasted, and in HD? Also was curious if it is available in their lower tier package, or do you have to pay for their upper tier? I have had Directv forever, but having them partnered with Qwest has been a nightmare, and think it's time to part ways with them both for awhile. Any help would be appreciated.

I just switched to comcast this summer. It has been good, but not as good as DTV for the TV end of things. The DVR is horribly outdated, and I would say the quality of reception is better in general with DTV. I have the next to the highest tier of packaging and I get every Jazz game in HD, not sure what tier you need for them, but my parents get them on a pretty low tier, though not in HD.

The internet, on the other hand, has been awesome. I went from AFConnect, which was not bad, to 20 mb with comcast, and it BLAZES. I have never had any down time, which I can't say was the case before. It has been worth the switch for this alone.

I get HDTV with a ton of channels, fast internets, phone, for about 130 a month, which includes Modem, HDDVR and second HD receiver, as well as another of the small boxes. It hasn't been all roses, but their customer service has been better than when I had them 6 years ago.

I have Comcast double play with TV and internet. I have the basic package and get every Jazz game, and one nice thing is that they re-broadcast most Jazz games right after. It's nice when you're just married and can't afford a DVR.

I've had no problems with service at all, and yeah, the internet rocks. My upload/download speeds are better than they were supposed to be provisioned for.

Plus, you don't have to have a contract. Make sure to talk the representative out of any installation fees, and when your promotional period expires call to cancel; they'll usually renew it at the same low price.

Ele.ven,

If you don't mind, how much do you pay a month for that? and does it come with any HD?

Sure, I'm paying 69.99/mo for 6 months, I'm going to cancel when the Jazz season is over. I'm not sure if that promotion is still available, but you can usually talk them into it.

This link has some of their products where you can look up channel lineups and everything. You can get a HD capable cable box for a little more every month, as well as a DVR.
