After this 3 game loss span, how about sloan changes the line-up
Williams MIles Kirlinko Jefferson Okur
Watson Bell Hayward Milsap Fes/Elson
Price Evans
If this doesn't work for 3 weeks, Trade Bell, Miles, Sap, and Fes for a great shooting guard, a power forward and a back-up center and sign up jeffers from D league before trade deadline!
Do something smart! This line up ain't working Jerry!!

Why does everyone think Millsap should be the one denoted to the bench? He is playing better than Al, and Memo. He is the second best player on this team, and if anyone out there deserves to be a starter, it is Millsap. The best option may have been staring us in the face for years. Start D-Will at the 2. Earl is a better PG than Raja is a SG. So swing D-Will to the 2, still run plays through him, but now he doesn't have to sacrifice his game in the first half to get others going. Think Brandon Roy in Portland. Deron is better than Roy in just about every category. Playing D-Will at the 2 opens his game up a lot offensively, and since no one else on this team can understand how to put the orange sphere in the orange circle lately, D-Will can focus on his scoring instead of his passing. Earl can pass, but can't score. Makes sense to leave the passing to him. I think this makes D-Will far more deadly. Of course, landing a half decent SG through trade would be nice to. Aaron Afflalo made be an option if Denver trades Carmelo.

Im not quite sure where you came up with this. Looking at their numbers theyre nearly identical, and being that MIllsaps have been on a steady decline from the start of the year, while Al's have slightly increased, it seems odd that you can claim he is playing better.
I have always thought the best starting lineup included Memo (if healthy enough to contribute as usual) and Al together. Right now we're VERY small, which is a huge reason for our terrible rebounding. Plus Ive always wanted to see what Memo's range would do to help out Al in the post, who is by far the better post player between he and Millsap. Paul would be the best big man off the bench in the league, and it fits him perfect....if Memo turly is ready, I would make this change.

Milsap is averaging more points a game, and more importantly at a higher shooting %. He has the highest shooting % on the team. His PER is higher as well. I'm not saying that Al has been playing bad at all. I love having Al on this team. I just don't understand why so many people wanna put Millsap on the second squad. I don't think the problem with this team is in our bigs. It's in our complete and utter lack of a SG. This team doesn't even have a serviceable SG on its roster. Raja and Hayward are our only SG... and neither can reliably shoot.

I agree with you on the SG situation. I would LOVE to pull of a deal for a legit 2 guard. I just think that our frontline being so small really hurts our rebounding as well. I think the main reason that people might be suggesting moving Paul to the bench is that we know for a fact that he can do that successfully, so if they were going to switch up the front court, that move seems very natural.

Millsap is also averaging less than 8 rebounds a game....... And playing terrible defense.......
Seriously, how does a Power Forward playing 34 minutes a game for the Jazz average less than 8 rebounds a game???????
I think Millsap is a much better offesnvie player than I gave him credit for, he has obviously worked on his game, but he's also a much worse defensive player than I figured he was.......
He might be wrose than Boozer.......

My .02
Williams, Watson, Price
Bell, Miles
Hayward, AK
Jefferson, Millsap, Evans
Okur, (Jefferson), Elson, Fes
I like AK off the bench giving the 2nd unit more playmaking.
I like Millsap off the bench where he can play with more energy.
I like Hayward starting giving the starting 5 more energy and transition offense.
I like Miles coming off the bench.

Millsap is in a slump...no doubt about it. But he is one of the most important pieces we have. And his contract is good. We gotta find a way to get 34 mpg out of him. Whether as a starter, or off the bench....I think he'll be professional. Maybe if he improves his play from the bench, he can earn his job back. But I say give him a few more games before pulling him, and let Memo get rested up. Memo is more important to us in the playoffs so let's get him rested...not playing against starters.

I Would Like...
Williams-Bell-Hayward-Kirilenko-Jefferson...
Watson-Price (Williams) -Miles-Millsap-Okur...

The team's depth chart is really bad right now because I don't think Hayward, CJ, or AK can play SG well. AK needs to be traded for a SG.

Boozer? Boozer who? I don't know who you are talking about---- WAIT! CARLOS BOOZER?!!!!! CARLOS EFFING BOOZER?!!!! I have to disagree there. The only thing that plays worse defense than Boozer is a water soluble condom.

Millsap is worn out again. He should be getting about 25 minutes a game to keep him fresh, And off the bench would help him to not have to wear himself against starter quality players.

I don't know....... We're getting murdered by every PF in the league lately....... Even a rookie like Derrick Favors was able to do whatever he wanted when Millsap was guarding him.......

I think the difference between the two is that with Booz his lack of D was an effort thing while with Sap it's a talent/size thing....until Okur is capable of starting I would like to see a starting lineup of either Watson/DWill/Hayward/AK/Al or DWill/Bell/Hayward/AK/Al

And that's different from the past half decade of Boozer how? Remember, Boozer was benched by Thib because he couldn't stop Kris Humphries.... KRIS EFFING HUMPHRIES! I'd rather have the 3rd overall pick in the draft put up 12 points on us, than Kris Humphries. Like Jazzed said, I'd rather have Millsap playing hard and trying to defend, than Booz slackin' ass.

You do realize that KRIS EFFING HUMPHRIES ALSO dropped 12 & 5 on the Jazz in that same game....

The difference is, while Boozer may not give a damn about defense, he's a better offensive player than Millsap........ So, while the Jazz had Boozer they would always win the PF matchup..... That's not the case with Paul.......
And the other difference is, there was always the chance Boozer would play defense...... With Millsap, it doesn't matter, even when he does, the opposing player is still able to score on him......
And Favors, who is the youngest player in the NBA, should not be able to school a veteran like Millsap......

Yeah 12 and 5... He put up 20 and 11 on Boozer. He nearly doubled his stats against Booz.

The best starting lineup change is to move Jefferson to the bench. Perhaps Jerry is not letting Milsap have enough freedom to go out and make something happen. If you move Okur back to the starting lineup, then it opens up the middle for Milsap to become a "go to" guy. I tend to think that right now the best thing we can do is improve Milsap's confidence, and unfortunately, I think Jefferson's game doesn't mesh with Milsap.
Jefferson, in turn, would make the second unit stronger.
Thoughts?

My Starting 5 would be this
PG Watson
SG Williams
SF Miles
PF Millsap
C Jefferson
This starting 5 is the best production line-up right now for the Jazz if you want to start winning the 1st quarters and not have to always fight an uphill battle go with this!!
@ 6 minutes bring in AK for Sap and Bell for Watson Williams goes to PG
