Deron unhappy with AK, Al, KO'C, and Bell?

"Jazz's Williams said opponents have been collapsing on Utah's offense since preseason."

This would seem to refer to AK and his lack of shooting and Al and his lack of movement from the left block.

"Jazz's Williams made a very strong point today: It's not Utah's lack of consistency in starting lineup that's the problem; it's the pieces."

"Jazz's Williams said Utah might not have the pieces it needs for its offensive system. Team was better suited for system last year."

This would seem to refer to Al.

"Jazz's Wiliams said having Blazers' Matthews, Bulls' Korver allowed Utah to run last season. Not happening this year."

This seems to indicate more frustration with AK and Bell as well as a bashing towards KO'C.

"Jazz's Williams said "of course not," breaking into question about whether Utah will make a major move to help team before trade deadline."

This would also seem to be a negative remark towards KO'C.

He's also blames himself though.

"Jazz's Williams also placed blame on himself for Utah's struggles. Said he's got to learn to play better with new team."

It doesn't look very good right now...

Who is happy with AK, Bell, Al and KOC?

AK has financially strapped us for years with a regression in his abilities over the years.

Bell is not an NBA starting caliber SG based on all the stats.

Al has not picked up the rotations as quickly as we would like. He may be better after more time.

KOC assembled this team with little chance of external improvement. The only way we become better is if the players we have start contributing like superstars, which isn't going to happen.

KOC has an extremely valuable trade asset in AK-47's expiring contract. He was going to trade him before the season for Diaw? He should be able to get much better than that at the trading deadline. Time to make a big move KOC! Melo or Monte Ellis need to come to Utah now for AK-47 and Hayward (or possibly Miles)

Do you think Stockton would have blown up at Hayward on the courts and set the rookie back for months? Do you think Stockton was any less competitive than Deron? Who do you think was a better leader? Deron doesn't like living in the shadow of Stockton. Deron told Al he would make him an all star. How's that working out?

When did we decide Deron had to be a Stockton clone?

Make the people around you better, yes. Help make Al an all star, yes. If you don't like Sloan's offense, sit down with the coaching STAFF, and figure out what needs changing, yes.

Stop whining in public about everything the Jazz aren't doing, and talk about what you're doing to move toward a ring, yes.

Stop worrying about how many points you score and worry about improving your assists--yes.

If you want a couple of players to run the court with you, work it out with them--at practice.

If you don't like players making vacation plans before the playoffs are over, then don't tell everyone how you don't live in Utah during the summer. If you aren't committed to the team, the state, and to the goal, why should everyone else be? If you want another player, tell the Jazz you'll extend your contract if they get them. How about a commitment on both sides! No, you mean you want to leave your options open. Well, that's commitment.

Stockton clone, no. Best Deron can be, yes.

First off- Al's gotta make himself an all-star. Deron can't collect rebounds and play defense for him.

The idea of anyone sitting down with Sloan and talking about improving his coaching is laughable- it hasn't happened since you were in diapees, and it ain't happening now.

He doesn't whine in public- you show me where he has spoken out before or without being asked by the media. Don't hate him for honesty.

If Deron doesn't score, who does on this team? We're offensively challenged enough without crying about Deron's scoring.

The guy isn't from Utah. Utah isn't where his extended family lives. He didn't grow up at Lagoon and Flaming Gorge with the rest of us. He's under NO obligation to spend his life here. The reality is when hes here- if he's playing, thats all we can ask for.

He has to come here for this season if traded. The Jazz should gamble on one season even if it costs them the future of being a one round and out playoff team.

It's not KOC's fault we are a small market team and can't pull off "major deals" to get the players we need here. He has done everything he could to make this team great.

Jefferson has been a good addition to the team IMO. He is a big upgrade from Memo at the C with his defense and inside scoring ability. The problem is Millsap. Millsap is not nearly as good as Boozer is with this system. So if you want to point fingers at someone for the system not working so well this year point it at Millsap, not Jefferson. Millsap is the one who is suppose to be running the pick and roll with Deron, not Al.

The blame on Bell is justified, he has been a total disaster. AK is doing what AK does. He has actually played better this year than years previous so I can't see why he should be blamed for anything other then underperforming for what he is worth.

Bingo! this is exactly what i was telling my cousin about a couple of days ago. Watching Millsap during this stretch has been just as bad as Deron. this four game losing streak is on them, imo

I think Al is an enormous obstacle to our offensive execution, because he slows things to a screeching halt and takes FOREVER to do anything down low. It's just not a good fit for our offense.

Millsap gets a big mark-down for saying he wasn't "mentally into" the New Jersey game. As Harpring said on the Boston broadcast, there's absolutely no excuse for that. I think we play better when the offense runs through Millsap and we see more pick-and-rolls, but in order for that to work, the dude has to come to play.

The one thing I always thought we knew about Paul was that he'd show up, no matter what. Evidently he's gotten complacent of late.

In conclusion: Jefferson's numbers are pretty empty, and I think he can be a detriment to our offensive flow; Paul needs to get his head on straight and remember what it was like beasting it up on a rookie contract; and Deron needs to take a good long look in the mirror and be the leader his $15 million and self-professions say he is.

Of course the year Deron expires the only player the Jazz will have under contract is Gordan Hayward which leaves room for 3 max players if we waive our bird rights to Jefferson and Millsap, or two if we don't (Williams,Jefferson,Millsap,Hayward,???,1st round pick,2nd round pick,6 minimum guys title searching)...

Is that the scenario if he opts out or if he opts in to his last year?

Opts in, and I actually just created a thread showing why he won't opt out....really it boils down to the fact that the only team with a real shot at signing him is Indiana who doesn't have a core that is any better than ours. Also it assumes by that time the cap is still at $58 million and there are not huge changes to the CBA....
