Andrew Bogut

what would it take for the Jazz to get him? I'd give up Al Jefferson, expiring AK and CJ and future picks for Bogut, Salmons, Maggette or something to that affect?
DWill would likely stick around if we could pull off Bogut who would fit in better than Jefferson has! Much better passer and defender!
Williams
Salmons
Maggette
Millsap
Bogut
i like and would give up A LOT for Bogut, even though his numbers are down this year. Coming back from his injury will take some more time and he'd be such a perfect fit in Utah's system!!

If you were Milwaukee, would you trade Bogut for anything we have? Outside of D-Will.

I like it..just not the future picks part. Would love to send CJ/Bell packing somehow...and I don't think Al is the answer long term (course this is all my opinion)

well if I'm Milwaukee, I like Jefferson and the idea of unloading some bad contracts. they're building around Jeffries anyway, so why not get some young players since they're not winning or going anywhere soon.

If the Jazz make this trade they might as well just keep Jefferson and trade D-Will for Bogut, cuz with all those bad contracts there is absolutely no way the Jazz can resign Deron. The Jazz would be trading about $15 Million in salary next year for about $30 Million, and essentially waving goodbye to Deron. Milwaukee is a good team, rattled by injuries. When healthy they are a good team. THE problem with this team is SG. Fix that problem and most of the other problems will fall into place.

This +1
I also don't see Milwaukee parting of Bogut for what we offer, contract wise or both. That guy is highly underrated.

Bogut is #1 on my list of dream gets. I can't imagine a better fit for us. But yeah, outside of Deron, I don't see how we get our hands on him.

I don't think we could get Bogut without giving up Williams.
In the event we do need to trade Williams, I'm not sure we can get any single player in the same tier. We'd have to get a lesser player (Bogut) and some young talent/draft picks. We don't have much in bad contracts to unload. I guess Okur and Jefferson are the worst we have right now (AK's is actually an asset right now). But Okur has too much negative trade value right now, so I wouldn't want him pulling down our trade in the name of dumping bad salary, it would pull it down too far. On Jefferson, I want to see him next year: I think he'll figure out the offense, and having a low post presence like he's been two years ago could help up get contender status.

AK for Maggette and Salmons works
I like both, but they're 31 and have a few years on their current contracts. worth it? not sure

Just because it works in trade machine doesnt mean its going to work in the Jazz plans for the future!!!.................The Jazz would rather pay the tax this year and let AK walk or sign him for MLE next year then trade him for a player who can help us win and get to the next level and even win a championship!!!
Its all about money to this family not winning a championship!

Its all about the money, right. That is why the Jazz have the #6 payroll in the league. You might have a case if they were in the bottom third or something but you have nothing.
And exactly who is that player who "can help us win and get to the next level and even win a championship"? And even if you could identify a player of that magnitude for certain, why would their team want to move them?

I like Bogut alot and he would likely want to play in Utah. I would even consider a Dwill/Memo for Bogut/Maggette/Milw #1 pick type deal if they would throw the Jazz their number one pick our way. I have always thought Dwill is extremely over-rated!
Then maybe Ak-47 for Devin Harris and filler
PG Harris Watson
SG Miles Bell
C Bogut Jefferson Elson/Fess
SF Maggette Hayward
PF Jefferson Millsap

... I'll just take the second part of that, since I know other people will address the first part. Why would they be looking to dump Devin Harris? It's not like they're over the cap.

In the event we must trade Williams, Bogut might be one of the best single players we could get in return. Harris would make a natural piece of the trade due to positions, but I seem to remember him having maturity issues that would cause trouble with Sloan.
Maybe the next best thing we could get would be Williams for Lopez and Favors, with plenty of other players involved to make it work out by position.

Nope. Might not even trade him for Williams, actually. I also highly doubt Scott Skiles would want a bar of Jefferson's defense, and could consider resignation if he had arguably the league's best defender, smartest player and the on-court nexus of his coaching philosophy traded out from under him. Bogut will not be playing for Utah for at least the duration of his current deal. He's completely unattainable, especially while Skiles is at their helm and they're in contention for the playoffs.
