Status of future Jazz draft picks

I've been looking ahead to see which picks go where and my normally trusty websites are not updated yet.

I know the Jazz will be getting a Memphis 1st round draft pick (top 14 protected) from the Brewer trade. Also the Jazz owe the Timberwolves two future 1st round picks from the Jefferson trade but I haven't seen any more detail than that. Does anyone recall the conditions?

Are these the only draft picks that are owed to or from the Jazz currently? The only other thing is that mysterious future draft considerations to 76ers for the trade of Fesenko but who knows what that means or when it is "complete".

The Jazz dealt our 2011 first round pick, and our 2011 pick from Memphis (top 14 protected) to the Wolves in exchange for Al.

As of now, the Jazz don't have any picks in the first round of this years draft.

I think our pick was top 16 protected too.

So there were no additional conditions on the Memphis pick we passed along? That's still conditional on how Memphis does, right?

The Jazz's own pick is Top-16 protected, so if the Jazz are in the lottery they'll get their pick, otherwise nothing. Right?

That's my understanding.

TWovles fan here... I think you guys are correct on your pick being top 16 protected. Here are the protections on the Memphis pick:

2011: Top 14 protected
2012: Top 12 protected
2013: Top 10 protected
2014: Top 9 protected
2015: Top 9 protected
2016: Cash

Originally, I guessed that your pick would be in the late 20's and that we probably wouldn't be getting the Memphis pick anytime soon, but the way things are shaping up, your pick will be better than expected and Memphis still has an outside chance to make the playoffs, so we may get both this year.

There won't be any New York like scenario happening with either pick.

So if Memphis qualifies for one of the top 14 picks then we get it? Or does Minnesota still get it?

I think Minnesota still gets it. I don't think there are any "double protections" on the pick -- don't even know if you can do that.

Minnesota or Memphis gets it no matter what. It's protected so Memphis keeps their pick if they suck for too long, then Minnesota gets cash if they tank for years. Theres no reason to even think about the Memphis pick anymore.

Yeah we traded our 2nd for the Boozer trade exception since they really didn't have to do the TE since Boozer signed on his own
