LHM -Driven

I just heard Doug Robinson the author of LHM's biography Driven speak. While Robinson isn't the most charismatic guy in the world, he had some really great stories about LHM. I didn't have a negative view of LHM beforehand but now I do have a greater appreciation for LHM and what he did, given his background.

I wanted to read the book but don't have a lot of free reading time because of school. I did buy the book.

Has anybody else read it? Any thoughts on it?

i read it last year. i liked it. interesting things to learn about lhm being sort of a genius and him not realizing it because of coming from a crappy home.

not as much about the jazz as i expected though. and more religion than i expected too. but still a good read.

Great insight in the book, especially the part where Miller has just a couple days to get the money to buy the Jazz, and what the community did to help him (and vice versa)
Lots of interesting stories that shows you what molded Miller

Highly recommend to all Jazz fans
