Trade deadline

Post#1 » by Ballzak » Tue Feb 22, 2011 6:15 pm

As the trade deadline approaches, I always anticipate a potential Jazz move only to be disappointed when nothing happens. With all the Boozer rumors the past years to only let him walk. Al Jefferson has been up and down, although I believe improving, so it's somewhat of a trade off.

AKs contract is set to expire, and I doubt the Jazz move him. He hasn't played more then 32 games in a row in more then 5 seasons. You simply can't win when a max player doesn't play. Please move him since he is now more valuable then he has been since he signed the contract.

Something has to happen or Dwill will walk next year, they won't trade him, he will walk, PLEASE JAZZ DO SOMETHING!!!

Calm down. The jazz don't really do in season blockbusters. You can panic after this offseason.

I agree.. I like AK, I think he helps us win, but the fact is the man cannot be counted on to remain healthy. 5+ years is a pretty good track record. We need to trade him for someone who can help us win and stay healthy.

I'm not panicking for this season really because I think we all know we are not getting out of the second round at best. With out improvements/players Dwill will walk and then we will be back to a 20 win team = no fun.

20 win team? Not a chance. Remember the joke lineup we got 40+ wins with. This team, even without Williams, is far better than that team. Plus the 20 win season, in which we got Deron, was plagued with injuries. Most players we have now are pretty resilient.

Denver got a 17 million dollar trade exception in the Melo deal. In the first proposed deal with Melo going to NJ, it included AK going to Denver.

Wonder if this is a trade that is currently being talked about.

Isn't AK hurt for a while? Not conducive to trading for a guy for a few months while using your trade exception.

AK was in that original deal primarily to make the salaries work. Now that Denver has saved a bunch of luxury tax money, why in the world would they take on AK's entire contract? Makes no sense.

Gerald Wallace is being shopped...don't know what it would take, but he has always been one I wouldn't mind having.

Gerald Wallace would be great here, but I don't think it'll ever happen.

I'm predicting AK for 10mil worth of garbage. Hopefully expiring garbage.

Though this would actually increase our payroll. And isn't Gerald Wallace just as prone as AK? oh well

Ya but that was with a guy named jerry on the sidelines, not Ty.

Mike Miller is available but it doesn't look like we have the pieces to land him.

I like his game. And the fact he's white, but mostly his game. He can shoot the three and he'd be great off the ole Harpring curl play.

Miller has a frustrating habit of refusing to shoot, even if he's wide open....... So, getting him for offense purposes is pointless......
