Outside Shooting

The Jazz have two players that shoot over 36% from three now, Andrei Kirilenko - who is having a freak shooting season - and Gordan Hayward who only plays 13 minutes a game. Moving forward this is going to be a huge problem for this team. I think (well, mostly hope) that our defensive woes are pretty much solved with this rotation of players, but we really need to add someone in the offseason who can hit the three. Coming up we're going to have our MLE and two lottery picks to solve this problem while adding some players that can really help us become a better team in the future. Really a lot of it is going to come down to whether or not the Jazz want to try and solve the problem now, or in the off season (likely the case).
For what it's worth, here are my picks for current NBA free agents the Jazz could sign:
1. Kyle Weaver: shoots 43% from three this year in the NBDL. Has a nice shooting stroke, not going to shoot as well in the NBA though. Still young, is a great defender. Originally drafted as a point guard so he has good ball handling abilities (ala Raja Bell).
2. Da'Sean Butler: Don't know why Butler was cut, looks like he can become a very good NBA player to me, but he is very unproven at this point
3. Steve Novak: Best shooter in the game, just can't do anything else. Shooting 64% from three in the NBDL.
4. Rashad McCants: Good shooter, wasn't a horrible player in the NBA, shoots 43% from 3.
5. Danny Green: Same boat as Butler. Shoots 41% from 3 and he has picture-perfect form. Could easily become a good role-player.
6. Shane Edwards: 23 and statistically the best D-League player this year. Averages 19 and 7 off of 50% 3-pt shooting.
Next year there are plenty of free agents that can really help us. Jamal Crawford could be targeted, Anthony Parker, Reggie Williams (my #1 pick), Shane Battier and Rasual Butler will all be free agents. At our point in the draft there will also be Jimmer (but we have Harris), Jordan Hamilton and Bojan Bogdonavic (total sleeper pick this year, I think I butchered his name though).
I can't wait to see what happens for the rest of the year, but I have a feeling the Jazz will see a lot of teams packing the paint with defenders.
