who is the next to go?

Post#1 » by yonexpro1 » Sun Feb 27, 2011 6:45 pm

we have seen the roster almost completely change since this time last year, we still have a solid roster and are fighting for the playoffs.

I feel like we are in a win win situation, either make the playoffs or gain an extra lottery pick that we could use to trade.

I hope KOC eliminates Cj next, memo probably will be hard to move, but we should move him.

The obvious choices are Raja Bell and at least one of our bigs. I'm assuming the Fesenko era is officially over with Favors here now. If Memo doesn't come back then we don't really have a problem but if he does then we need to dump one of the three out of Okur, Millsap or Jefferon. I would prefer to just dump Memo ASAP but who knows what will happen.

If we have faith in Evans we should trade Memo for a SG.

Evans is a forward, while Okur is primarily a center.

Does Okur have a team option or player option, or next season just his final season?

He is an expiring contract next year, though if there is no CBA at draft time he will be harder to move.

CJ/Bell/Price..

(okur..is on the bubble for me.. I still hope he can come back and get back to old form plus how many big men can shoot like him?)

Draft the best player available but yeah if I have to pick just one, CJ is my pick to go.

Fess is gone for sure. Memo will likely be traded during next years trading deadline. Evans will get a free agent contract the Jazz will refuse to match. AK-47 will sign for more money than the Jazz are willing to offer. So at the start of next year Ak-47, Evans, and Fess are gone and new to the team will be the Nets pick and meybe the Jazz pick if we miss the playoffs.

Miles, Bell, Fes, Elson and Price

Our C/PF spot could be pretty damn good, why break it up already? Give Millsap some minutes at the 3, he's quick enough. He plays in the high post half the time anyway. Let Kirilenko play some SG if he needs make up his minutes.

Get good long-range shooters to replace Miles & Bell. Get a 7-footer to replace Fes and Elson.

I think we'll be OK just letting those 2 go...

Jefferson
Millsap
Favors
Tomic
Okur
Evans

...and occasionally AK.

Seriously, when healthy, that has GOT to be the absolute deepest 4-5 spot in the league.

sure, thats solid depth but its not necessary depth. We should have probably 4 bigs minus AK( since if needed he can play the 4) on the roster.

Those of you who think getting rid of CJ is a smart move you have no clue how hard it is to replace a guy who can give you 20 points off the bench. CJ is part of the future of this team and you guys need to get used to it!

And those of you who want to get rid of Jefferson are even bigger dummies at knowing the game of basketball unless your trading him for Pau Gasul or a top big forget it this team needs him Favors is a long way away from being a every day basketball player look how long it took J. Oneal to come into his own.

This board realy is lost when it comes to knowing who should play and not play A lot of you think that white boy Rookie needs to have 40 min a night well he far from ready to play 20 min every single night let alone 10 min a night.

I agree with the last post, but I think we could send CJ to Memphis for Mayo, and I think Mayo would be a perfect fit for us. He can be a lock down defender and a scorer for us.

Next year by the All Star break I would like to see Favors get in the starting lineup over Millsap:

Harris/Resigned Watson (Price Gone)
Mayo/NJ PICK (Bell Gone)
AK/Hayward
Favors/Millsap
Jefferson/Memo

Don't worry; there's plenty of guys willing to miss fade-away threes over triple teams and shoot less than 40% from the field.

CJ needs to go, for a supposed long range shooter - 33.3% from 3 for your career is awful, just awful. I've never felt he took his career seriously, seems to be more of a goof.

D. Williams did not only screw up Utah Jazz, the coach, but also himself. He will never again be the same.
I admired Utah Jazz always and was somehow hoping Bogut one day playing for Sloan and playing in Utah , he so much loved, not thanks to Majerus but Giacoletti.
Utah Jazz, I wish you all LUCK in the World.
When you put on that jersey, the name on the front is more important then the name on the back.

How cheaply do you think I could find a CJ Miles jersey? Because I want to have an animated gif of it burning as my avatar.

Actually... what would be cool is to write a little app that generates a burning gif of any jersey you want. Hmmm...
