John Stockton puts up one of his best career games trying to save the Utah Jazz from a sweep by the Golden State Warriors. As the rest of his squad struggle and Karl Malone wakes up in the 4th quarter, John scores 34 points and also hands out 16 assists. May 2, 1989. Western Conference First Round, Game 3.

Thanks for posting this. It's always good to see vintage Stockton. Strange to see the way they played off of him in that game, though that was more the style in general back then, I guess.

Another sidenote: I like the inconsistencies in the commentary.

"Stockton is the only guy that can get it going tonight."
"Malone is their only offense tonight."

As a fan of the Blazers, I've never loved the Jazz :), but I have to admit, that team was one of the most well built squads ever. Had it not been for the Jordan Bulls the Jazz and Blazers would both be looking at VERY different histories.
