OT: Carlos Boozer and the Familiar Problem

Carlos Boozer's offensive production has declined monthly since he made his debut with the Bulls.
Opposing teams have used size to force Boozer away from the basket, creating more pick-and-pop attempts rather than pick-and-roll looks for the Bulls.
"I'm not worried about that," Boozer said. "That's part of the game. I'm more concerned with our defense. The offense will take care of itself."
Boozer shot 55.1 percent in December, 53.9 percent in January, 50.3 percent in February and is at 45.1 percent this month. His scoring average has dropped from 20.6 points in December to 19 points in January to 16.5 points in February down to 12.7 points this month.
"We have got to run the floor a little better," Tom Thibodeau said when asked how to jump start Boozer. "We have to find him deeper in the post. We have to search him out better. In looking at the film, he made some really good plays in the first quarter. We went to the re-post and missed a couple of shots. But we have to give him that second look and he has to get some easier scores. He'll be fine.
"He has faced (defensive length) throughout his career. We looked at the previous game against Philadelphia where he had 31 and he scored in a variety of ways. (Monday night's 97-85 loss) was a different sort of game. When he's at his best, he scores in pick-and-roll, post-up, catch-and-shoot, running the floor. We have to get him back to doing that."

This issue (being pushed out on the perimeter) really shouldn't come as a surprise to them. And there's only so much a team can tweak its offensive schemes to compensate.

He has more players to pick up the slack now. Shouldn't hurt Chicago too much. Having an inside center helps too.

Boozer always starts out the season strong and then his production progressively declines until he becomes a total chump in the playoffs.
Except for 2007 against the Rockets. He was awesome in that series....

Yeah, Boozer's really dragging Chicago down.

Hasn't been a problem for Chicago to date. But it's still the truth.

Why would any of you care what Boozer does or doesn't do?............He shouldn't be a concern of your's any longer. You should be focusing on your FO. O'Conner seems to have gotten rid of your entire playoff calibre team.........It's a long road back folks!

I don't understand why people are offended or surprised that others are tracking a former player. It's rather a silly complaint. I didn't say Boozer should be taken out back and shot or that he's a traitor. I've consistently said that I was impressed with the way he left and that I wished him the best.
Are we not allowed to discuss non-Jazz players? Or just non-Jazz players that used to be Jazz players?

WTH? Have you set up some program that alerts you when someone talks about Boozer?

Carlos probably will be talked about his whole career here. Its part of being a fan.

This isn't a regular season problem for the Bulls, but once they lock horns with a high caliber playoff team, this will be a huge problem. I will be cheering for them in the playoffs since they have so many former Jazz players and are the most intriguing out of all the championship contenders, but I fear they will have major problems with very good teams in a 7 game series. Hope I'm wrong.
