i was noticing that jefferson was the only player this year to play every game. how special is that? i think it is more special nowadays than before. so i went back 20 years with the jazz. this is what i found out. (100% are the players who played every game. 98% are the remaining players who have 80+ under their belts, or 49 in 1999's case)

2010-2011 1/17 6% (100% jefferson 98% watson)
2009-2010 2/15 13% (100% millsap, matthews 98% none)
2008-2009 0/15 0% (100% none, 98% brewer)
2007-2008 2/15 13% (100% williams, millsap, 98% boozer)
2006-2007 3/15 20% (100% fisher, millsap, collins 98% okur, williams)
2005-2006 1/15 7% (100% okur, 98% williams, brown)
2004-2005 1/17 6% (100% okur 98% giricek)
2003-2004 2/18 11% (100% bell, lopez, 98% collins)
2002-2003 3/13 23% (100% stockton, padgett, jackson, 98% malone, kirilenko, cheaney, ostertag)
2001-2002 2/14 14% (100% stockton, kirilenko 98% malone)
2000-2001 3/14 21% (100% stockton, manning, vaughn, 98% malone, marshall, polynice, ostertag)
1999-2000 5/13 38% (100% malone, russell, stockton, eisley, polynice, 98% ostertag)
1998-1999 4/14 29% (100% russell, stockton, anderson, eisley, 98% malone)
1997-1998 3/14 21% (100% russell, anderson, eisley, 98% malone, hornacek, keefe)
1996-1997 5/15 33% (100% malone, hornacek, stockton, carr, eisley, 98% russell)
1995-1996 4/14 29% (100% malone, hornacek, stockton, keefe, 98% benoit, carr)
1994-1995 2/15 13% (100% malone, stockton, 98% hornecek, chambers, crotty)
1993-1994 3/19 16% (100% malone, stockton, corbin 98% chambers)
1992-1993 5/15 33% (100% malone, stockton, corbin, benoit, brown 98% none)
1991-1992 2/14 14% (100% stockton, brown, 98% malone, malone, edwards, eaton)
1990-1991 5/15 33% (100% malone, stockton, bailey, brown, rudd 98% eaton)

it is definitely more special to play all the games in the last 5 years than before, but it was always special, even back to rudd's day. ;)

it might be interesting to see how the jazz teams rank among the other 29 teams, but i'll leave that research to someone else.

that was back when the team had leaders that said "if you can run, you can play." and not like they say today "only you can tell how hurt you are. sit it out if you aren't sure."

It was also before he started "bulking up" in the off-season to fill a role he never should have. That is one of the biggest travesties in Jazz history.
