Coin flip

Post#1 » by HolyToledo » Fri Apr 15, 2011 3:58 pm

The Nets (Jazz) and Kings will have a coin flip next week to determine 5th vs 6th pick. The flip will decide who has more ping pongs in the lottery but more importantly draft order in case neither team gets in the top 3. For some reason the 5th pick seems much better to me than the 6th pick lol.

All reports had said it was today, but Chad forde (which is where Toledo is getting it from) said later this week which would mean at the latest tomorrow I would think. I hope it's today.

Too bad. We could still have luck with the ping pong balls, but the coin didn't help us any.

**** that ****, I swear we are cursed. When the odds are 50/50, that usually means we have about a 3-4% chance.

I wouldn't have expected any other outcome. It will also end up being the 7th or 8th pick.

Sooo frustratingly close to the 3rd worst record too. 2 games from a tie for 3rd, 3 games from 3rd worst outright. What a tease. F.

So the jazz officially have a 71.7% chance of drafting 6 or higher, and a 27.8% chance of moving into the top 3.

Basically our odds of moving up = our odds of moving down, I guess you have to like those odds, though 50/50 odds haven't exactly worked in our favor lately.

LMAO, I think our luck will make our pick worse with the way things go.

So its 6 to 4 odds in favor of the Jazz not picking sixth, even odds up or down. Given the choice between staying at sixth and taking the chance of moving down for the chance to move up, I'll take door number two.

Can the Jazz move into the top three by packaging picks and/or players? KOC seems to believe that's a long shot after the Jazz were able to land Deron at three after moving up from sixth. I would be more than pleased to experience the deja vu of the Jazz landing one D. Williams with the third pick of the draft after moving up from sixth.

Its an omen people; D-Will II is our man.

Beating LA and Denver didn't help.

But then again, those games were awesome.

Don't be down, folks. The Jazz could still come out of this draft as big winners.
