I though it would be fun if we all create our hypothetical "dream teams" consisting of current NBA players and their salaries for 2012. If a player doesn't have a contract in 2012 yet, just count their salary for 2011. I'm not thinking along the lines of a "who has the best team" competition, but rather what players you would personally love to root for.
Let's stay within $2m of the cap for 2011. which is $58.044 Million. You can find all player salary info here: http://www.sportscity.com/NBA/Utah-Jazz-Salaries (drop down menu @ the top).
I'll put mine together in a sec!

Re: Build Your Dream Team
Do a slightly higher salary cap and then only one or two players on a rookie contract.

Re: Build Your Dream Team
PG: Kirk Hinrich (9) CJ Watson, Price
SG: Tony Allen (3) Carlos Delfino, Watson
SF: Gordan Hayward (2.35) Jerebko, Millsap
PF : Nene (11.36) Millsap, Favors
C: Joakim Noah (10) Favors, Thomas
Coach: Adelman
CJ Watson 3.100
Ronnie Price 1.38
Carlos Delfino 3.5
Jonas Jerebko 762,195
Paul Millsap 6.2
Derrik Favors 4.13
Kurt Thomas 1.35
56.141
I like this team because it has size, shooting, and lots of defense. Each player knows what they do well and plays within themselves, there aren't a lot of egos so chemistry would be ok. Not too young, not too old. There's a lot of versatility, Hinrich and Watson can both play the two so we could still run our patented two point guard set. Nobody would want to play against our big guys, they're all bruisers. Nene, Millsap, Thomas, and Favors can all hit the mid range J so the paint won't be more crowded than it already is with Jefferson.

Re: Build Your Dream Team
You aren't likely to actually have a team of Rose, Griffin, Hayward, and Favors. They are all good and cheap because they are on a rookie contract.
I think you could do a dream team rookie salary and then a normal team.
