Who has better trade value, Raja or CJ?

Post#1 » by Bullet » Tue May 10, 2011 6:16 am

With Hayward emerging as a probable starter, having Bell and Raja is starting to look redundant. Personally, I would prefer to re-sign AK, but if not, the Jazz have a hole to fill.

IMO, they are two players with contrasting traits. Bell earns his paycheck through his defense but can hit the long ball on occasion (although last season showed both skills on the decline); Miles is a scorer but with little defense (although he showed some decency in the 2010 playoffs). Bell is a veteran presence, Miles is (still) considered a guy with potential. The two have almost identical salaries for next year, but Raja's runs til 2013.

If you were to trade for an established wing, who would you include in a deal?

CJ probably has neutral value. I'd think Bell has negative value.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

CJ by a mile (no pun intended)...... He's younger, has more potential, and other than being a chucker, is not a bad player....... Plus, with us, he was, often, forced into being the only source of offense, which goes some way towards explaining his sometimes very selfish play.......

Although, other times, he was just being plain selfish......

Bell is old, injury-prone and just not that good anymore......

Raja is worth a small fries at McDonalds. CJ is worth a value meal and maybe if you play hardball you could also get a McFlurry.

CJ MIles has improved every year and has talent but a 2 cent brain. As he gets older, he will likely play smarter, thus the Jazz should keep him. As for trade value, CJ has significant trade value why Bell has none, but Minn TWolves like him for some reason.

Yes it is. Yes it is.

You couldn't give Bell away, unless his mom somehow becomes a gm. Even then, she probably asks for the gs pick. Cj actually has some trade value.

Raja because of his veteran status and reputation as a tough guy.
