Jazz Win....Who do they pick at #3?

Post#1 » by Hoops Addict » Wed May 18, 2011 12:54 am

#3 Who do we pick.

We can have Kanter if we want.......Jazz take the center?

My first thought is to take Kanter ( assuming Irving and Williams get picked before)

I would say Kanter and Knight would be most likely at this point. I wouldn't put it past the Jazz to make a trade either, though moving up to #1 seems impossible with Cleveland already having 2 picks in th e top 4.

Too many bigs I think.

Jefferson
Favors
Millsap
Kanter
Okur

No thanks. There has to be a trade.

One GM recently compared Kanter to Joe Klein.

Leftovers of Kanter and Williams. I'll take either of them. Not sure if Brandon Knight is worth the 3rd pick....just trade down if you want him.

Damn i really wanted Irving. I think the Jazz trade down. After 2 it's a crapshoot and we don't need Kanter.

I want Jonas Valancianus. Totally reminiscent of Marc Gasol. Kanter doesn't look bad either.

Draftexpress has Kemba at 3.

It is a shame that the twolves jumped us. If it was somebody else, there could've been a chance for Kemba to maybe jump up or somebody else. I would be shocked if they don't take Williams.

If we're just looking at our short term roster, I can see why you would want to pass on Kanter, but I'm of the belief that you have to look to the future with this team. Memo's almost definitely not a part of that future and both Sap and Al are expendable if we find a young player (or young players) who are better prospects or fit better with the team we're building for the future. If Kanter (or another big guy) is the best player available at number three, I think we take him and worry about clearing logjams later.

BPA, all the way.

I really worry that Kemba is this year's Jonny Flynn.

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH , so we can throw now to the bin all that talk about Jazz bad luck, we where really lucky today, man if we could send there Gail Miller im sure that at least second pick would be ours :) So now what, we are winers but we cant say that mission is done, no we can take some on like Walker,Knight etc. or try to deal with T'wolves to get higher so maybe Irving or Williams will land in Utah or trade down for example with Cavs to get there 4 and 8 pick or just 8 and their next year firs pick, there are plenty of possibilities, but for now lets celebrate this night belong to us :D

#3 and Raja Bell for #1.

How can the Cavs say no to that!

But seriously, Kanter looks fantastic. A replacement Okur.

Just a note, this is DX's post-lottery mock, updated for team needs/likes. Interesting that he has Jazz taking Walker while Chad Ford has them taking Knight.

Would anyone do a Millsap and #3 for the #1 pick?

Ti think Kanter is a huge risk, especially at 3.

I'm not sure it's worth it, and I don't think Cleveland would do it any way.

At this point, what are the odds that Kyrie Irving is a vastly superior player to Knight or Walker? Do we really know? While Irving has better odds I don't think they're large enough to trade away Millsap.

Yes, but the Wolves and Clips don't have Millsap.

DX's mocks have always sucked. There is no conceivable way the Jazz would take Walker without a trade already arranged.

Have they? Their mock last year looked pretty good. I think they'll dial it in between now and the draft and the top 8 will be pretty close.
