Favors, #3 and #12 for #1?

Would you guys do it? I'd think about it as a Cavs fan....

NO. Favors is our future at the 4. We will pick at 3 and either get a roll player at 12 or trade that pick. Irving will not end up being the best PG in this draft either.

No way!

Too much.

Favors for Irving straight up is fair......Add the 3 and 12?

Maybe for just the 3 and 12.

Crazy!

Seems trading D-will for Irving!

I will not trade neither Favors for Irving nor 3 + 12 for Irving

We wouldn't do Favors for Irving, asking us to add is just....bad.

Um, why would we do that? We can get Brandon Knight who's probably not a big a drop off as most people think, without trading Favors and the #12 pick. Ofcourse You'd think about it, you can have Favors, Knight, and Burks for just Irving. What's not to like lol.

I'm inclined to agree, though I'm not sure. I'll be honest I don't know enough about Irving to judge him, while I saw Favors strive on the defensive and start to take big steps on offense for us at the end of the season.

I'd definitely do 3+12 for 1. We're really deep, no matter what, #12 is going to be a 9-12th man for us.

Think about it? LMAO.

That would be a straight up mugging.

I wouldn't do Favors for Irving straight up, let alone including those picks.

As others have stated, the difference between Irving and Knight is minimal and I agree with what someone said, Irving wont be the best PG in this draft, so Jazz hang up and have a Pepsi and a good laugh.

Thread lock because of how ridiculous this is?

Guess I missed the part where Favors had a good rookie season.

Sorry for your time, your mods can lock. Good luck next season.

favors is a project
everyone knew he was a project when he was drafted
regardless he played well his rookie season especially defensively and he still has almost unlimited potential which is desirable for a big
there is no conceivable way that anyone would trade that and two lottery picks for a completely unproven potential all-star guard

Wait--now you are saying he is bad? I thought you just tried to steal him along with 2 lottery picks?

Guess I missed the part where Irving played more than 11 collegiate games!

We will counter with Miles, Bell, and Harris for the #1, but I would have to think about that before pulling the trigger.

All joking aside, If Favors stayed in school and was coming out this year, he would be hands down the #1 pick. I honestly don't think O'Conner considers that trade even if you threw the #4 pick in there as well. Favors is raw but showed huge improvements since he was traded here. If you looked at the stats alone you may not think that he had a great season, but those who actually watched him play can see he has the potential to be a top-tier/all NBA PF in the future. With his athleticism and, from what I understand, great work ethic he has a much higher ceiling than Irving.

I'm not trying to discount Irving, I think he will be a great player, but I will take a great PF/C over a great point guard any day. But he will be a great pick for you guys and a great building block for the future along with whoever you get at 4.

Favors is our most untouchable player. No way in hell would I trade him for an unproven player. There are very few guys in the league I would trade for Favors straight up.

Favors for Irving straight up is NOT a good deal. I love Irving, I wish we could get him. But there's nothing that indicates for sure that he'll ever be a top 5 PG in this league. Favors has shown the kind of promise you hold onto with a deathgrip.
