Poll: Kanter, Knight or Kemba?

Post#1 » by notic519 » Fri May 20, 2011 6:54 pm

Hi Guys,

Not sure if this should just be put in the who should we pick at 3 thread but from all accounts it seems the Jazz will either go small with Kemba/Knight or big with Kanter. If the Jazz are picking 3rd I don't really see anyone else better suited than these 3 (unless of course Williams or Irving slip). I just wanted to get an idea what most Jazz fans are thinking.

Thanks.

Knight then Kemba than Kanter (we dont need a short center again)
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

6'11" is a short center? When did the NBA have a bunch of Yao Mings?

I voted Knight. Kanter looks good, but I like Favors at C and Jefferson at PF. They also have more length and reach than Kanter.

Kahn was interviewed at the combine, and made it pretty clear that they are looking at perhaps adding a veteran instead of drafting another young player. It will be interesting to see if it's with the Pacers or another team, and if the team that gets the pick actually takes Williams over Kanter. Some people are saying that Kanter is the best center prospect since Oden/Howard.

The wait for the draft is going to kill me. :-?

I'm going to start gunning for Kemba just to make things more interesting.

I noticed Draft Express updated their Mock Draft, now they think we're getting Knight, with Irving and Williams still going 1 and 2. Then again they think Kanter will drop to 8th. Yeah, I don't see that one happening lol.

I selected Knight as no matter what happens with roster on sumer, he can still be some how productive( even if we gonna pick Jimmer with that 12, and Devin will stay)

I just don't see why we would draft Devin Harris 2.0 when we already have Devin Harris...

I much rather take Kanter or gamble on Kemba Walker...

Brandon Knight plays nothing like Harris. Harris is way more athletic and better at drawing fouls, Knight shoots a lot better.

If the Jazz stick with best player available, then I think they will go with Kanter. All things being equal, size is always the trump card. Sure it gives the jazz a logjam of bigs, but none of them are stiffs, and both Jefferson and Millsap are moveable trade bait.

I'm not opposed to Knight, but I don't see how he is much of an upgrade over Harris. If we take Kemba, I will be legitimately ticked off. I can't see how his game will translate to the pros. At 12, no problem, but at three, no way.

AL, Favors, Millsap, Memo, Kanter, Tomic.

Yeah. We don't need wings. Let's collect bigs.

Kanter refused interviews with us. He wants to go to the Wizards. Thats fine with me. Lets get Willliams if we can if not then go with a PG. Kemba will score the ball better. Knight has the brains.

Good lord, it's amazing how long a piece of misinformation persists on this site.

Well it's partially true....he has stated that he wants to go to Washington...the other stuff has been debunked.

I just saw a vid of Enes Canter playing 5 on 5 in the General Board. I hope we draft this guy. I had no idea he could hit the long ball like that. He looks like a more athletic Memo....

Knight is 19 compared to kemba who is 21. Knight is a similar player at a younger age. It took kemba some time to get where he is whereas knight is close to kemba 2 years younger. He is a better shooter(not scorer) than kemba. Comparable speed. Both have question marks if they can run a team. But I think knight has the better chance. I can't imagine kemba not getting abused on the defensive end. Knight is taller and fill out his frame, whereas kemba is already built pretty solid and adding 20 to 30 pounds won't really help him. Plus now this is a big one. Knight can shoot the 3 with much more consistency then kemba. We need 3 point shooting!! If derrick doesn't fall take knight. Don't need kanter. Another turkish player with a bad back aye aye aye. Why no one is mentioning his injury history is beyond me.

Knight: "I like the things Utah is about, I'd enjoy playing

Post#20 » by Litany » Sun May 22, 2011 5:22 am

From a DN article:

"I wouldn't mind going there," Knight said. "It's a great city. They always have a great group of guys. I want to surround myself with a good group of guys. I like the things Utah is about. I'd enjoy going to Utah."

If Williams isn't on the board, I hope the Jazz go with Knight.

I wonder where Jazz are leaning.
