Lakers looking at Adelman

As per the wiretap. This doesnt surprise me. Adelman is one of the better coaches in the league. I scoff at anyone who dismisses him because he didnt win a title, seeing how his body of work is just as impressive as Sloan's, not to mention he won more head to head playoff series against Sloan.

So, I will say it again....the Jazz should look at Adelman also. They would be foolish to hand the future of the franchise to Corbin when a better coach is available.....

I love Adelman but I don't want to the Jazz to stoop to the level of the Lakers. The job should be given to their assistant (I can't remember his name at the moment...). He has been waiting long enough and even Kobe has his vote of confidence. Adelman would be a good fit for them but it's a pretty low blow on their part...

I'll give Corbin another couple years before I pass judgement.

Echo this is a business. Loyalty is important, but if there is a man more capable and he is willing to come coach here, he should be considered for the job regardless of how long an assistant has been waiting. I think the Lakers understand this....

Established coaches are very rare in this league. As Jazz fans, we absolutely understand the advantage great coaching can lend....and so gambling on a rookie coach if one of the rare established guys is available and willing is a big mistake.....

The Lakers don't have the luxury of breaking in a rookie coach. The pressure on that franchise to excel when an era's title window is rapidly closing precludes taking a chance of underperforming.

Corbin signed a 2 year deal with a team option for a third. I don't expect anyone in the front office to consider dropping Corbin until at least next off season. After all--Corbin may end up as good as Adelman--we haven't really seen what he is capable of yet.

I guess that's the difference between the Jazz and the Lakers...
