What do you want in return for Al Jefferson? Picks, talent, starters?
Would a deal like #15 Pick + 2013 first round pick + Brandon Rush/Lance Stephenson/Tyler Hansbrough be enough to get him?

IMO we shouldn't even be looking to move him.

I think utah would only move al jeff for a nice young prospect and some picks(he is only 26 afterall, he could be in the long term future). IF were looking at the pacers, only guys i could see us wanting back in a trade would be HIbbert or George. Unless the team is still in denial about rebuilding then maybe they would have granger interest, but I doubt it.

I think our best offer would be Hansbrough or Rush + two first round picks. Jefferson is the highest paid player in your team, and I don't think Utah is in "Win Now" mode.

I think if the Pacers throw Hibbert and a first then that should be enough. AL can play the 5 and if we signed a guy like Nene or a defensive mindind pf/c like Robin Lopez then I think that a better team overall.

I'm a big Hibbert fan. I am also a big Big Al fan. I would be tempted by any trade revolving around Hibbert or Granger. Don't undervalue Big Al. Guy put up serious numbers in a troubling season. And he started all 82 games. Which is huge!

Al is 26, what about him makes you think he isn't a piece of the future? There is just no justification to trading a guy that played in all 82 games that can play the C spot for a PF or SG plus picks that are late draft picks. Sorry but there is no deal here.

Alright. What if we add Darren Collison+Rush+Picks for Jefferson+Harris? Darren is younger than Harris and should fit better in your young core.

I have to argee with Xanthis and Quantum. Big Al was our best player all yr. He played through injury and will come back in the best shape of his life. His palm was injured all yr. He played well against all of the best bigs in the league. He just needs some help from the the wings and a PF to play with that is not a SG with a PF attitude. (Millsap 6.6"25) Just to small... Remember how the Jazz played at the end of the yr. Those last five games where amazing. Including Big Al's play. Favors and Al will be a force for the next 5-8 yrs. This team is closer than we think to being a very good team.

Trading big AL might depend if the Jazz are high on Kanter. If we draft Kanter and still have to pay Memo, then trading Big AL for a good wing player would be a good idea. I think the only destination for Big AL is stay in Utah or get traded to Houston for Martin. Contracts match and Houston needs a big and the Jazz need a SG.

The reason why I would do this deal if I was a Jazz fan is that it frees up serious cap space to sign a closer. YOu don't have to match salaries with the Pacers for HIbbert. You automatically have around 10-12 million to sign a sg or whatever floats your boat. Draft Kanter then you have a very strong frontcourt for 5-6 years.

Jazz are fine financially this year. We aren't going to be signing anybody that is going to be a game changer. Al is young enough to be here long term and the closer to the end of a contract a guy becomes the bigger he becomes in a trade piece. Pacers really don't have anything the Jazz need since you are probably playoff bound so your draft picks are useless. I like Hibbert, but I just don't see a trade here.

It's way too soon to be giving up on Al. His series of monstrous games, a few clutch performances, and surprising efficiency last year are enough reasons to see what he can do with his knee injury a year behind him, less drama surrounding the team, better team chemistry and his hand healed.

Only trade in which Granger will come for Big Al can be treat seriously, and that still would be in favor of Pacers.
