Since Rubio is now the Twolves PG and they likely want to dump Flynn,,,doesnt this trade make sense though it does cost our chance at the Jimmer..

Jazz get #2 pick and Flynn and Twolves get #3 pick along with #12 pick and Bell...we draft williams and they draft a center

Jazz team:

PG Harris Flynn Price
SG Hayward Miles Price
C Jefferson Memo Elson
PF Favors Millsap Evans
SF Williams Millsap Miles

I don't like that at all. I would be okay with drafting Williams, just not giving up the 12 and having to take on another crappy point guard. And I believe if we get rid of Raja at all, it should be to some type of contender. He deserves that much.

I say no. I'm happy with whoever we get at 3. No need to move up to 2 IMO. I'm not too high on Flynn and I don't think he'd be a very good fit. I think we could get more value with the 12th pick honestly.

Raja doesn't deserve better. I left here the first time around like a thief in the night. He said the right things but when it came down to it he left and didn't even give the Jazz a chance. If I were him, I'd like to play along Nash too. I don't blame him for leaving but how he did. If he wanted to play for a contender he could've signed with the Lakers but he chose the money and came to Utah.

Flynn isn't great but look at what he has to work with up there... Maybe a change of team and being with a pair veteran point guards could help. Flynn would be about $200,000 more this season and next but with the team option could come off a whole year earlier. Flynn has a higher potential and reward too.

So you are saying that there is no way for a player to leave a team and join another without being a thief in the night? Cuz he was about as classy about the whole thing as a player could possibly be. To hate on him for that is a shame. Plus, we were contenders when the season started. If we hadn't underperformed to badly. Anybody really think Memphis is better than the roster we had to start the season?

I just can't see the Jazz wanting Flynn. And I think I'd rather have the 3rd and 12th picks than just the 2nd pick.

And I don't see Minnesota trading the 2nd pick for that package. They want a quality veteran player. If they do trade the 2nd pick I don't think it will be to acquire a washed-up shooting guard and a couple of (worse) lottery picks.

I think a player can leave and be fine about it. He was claiming that the Jazz had every chance to sign him when he left but yet he signed a deal with Phoenix at 12:01 am... a minute after the opening. He wasn't exactly classy about it.

If you thought that we were truly contenders for the title at the beginning of the season, you are in denial. A good playoff team, yes but not a contender. A truly not a better contender than the Lakers.

Raja Bell asked the Jazz not to bother extending him an offer because he was signing with Phoenix. He didn't use us in a bidding war or lead us on in anyway. I'd say it's about as right as a player can do it. And to say he signed here cuz of the money seems silly to me. He chose Utah of LA cuz he would be making 3 million a year. Not sure LA could've possibly offered him less than that. Especially if he retires soon. Raja is a great guy, who had a horrendous year from which he may never recover, but to call him one of the bad guys of the league seems entirely misdirected. After all, it's not like he is Carlos Boozer. :D

Raja was coming back from a hand injury on his shooting hand if im not mistaken. He also missed pretty much an entire season. That being said im willing to give him til the trade deadline to get his act together. This ofcourse is only as a backup. If he can hit shots and get back into the flow defensively then he is a great vet to have.....but we said that at the beginning of last year too.

As for Flynn. He's better then Price. He's not a pure point guard, but the kid can score and have you seen how far he can throw a mouth piece, not bad if you ask me. Honestly i would do Bell for Flynn another trade we almost pulled off before the deadline. Hes really close with Big Al too.
