Al Jefferson to Atlanta for Josh Smith

Al Jefferson to Cleveland for Varajeao and Sessions and the 13 Mil. trade exception from LBJ trade

Al Jefferson and 12 to Philly for Iggy and 16

Al Jefferson and #12 to Houston for Kevin Martin and Courtney Lee

Al Jefferson, Raja Bell and J. Evans to Denver for Gallinari, Felton and Andersen (Denver resigns Chandler)

I don't know about any of those but I'll gladly let the pacers have Jefferson and Milsap for Roy Hibbert. Throw whatever else is needed for salary purposes but I want roy hibbert that bad. Him and Favors together would be magic and if by some chance Biyombo falls to us with the #12 or we can move up for him for the low, the league will be terrified of our front court defense.

Next agenda for the hype machine: Hibbert flavored ice cream!! However, without the ice cream deal I'm not really wanting RH that bad to undersell in a mostly buyers market. RH for scoopinscola sounds like magic to me. Jefferson and Millsap in this deal is a fundemental example in the error of mans ability to think clearly.

Ok I was overexagerrating a lot but I would do Al Jefferson for Hibbert, #15 and a future first. That better?

in late winter there where lot of rumors that Bird is able to make that kind of trade, and it maybe more that just a rumor as he was strongly pursuing Big Al when he was T'Wolves player.

I've heard a lot of chatter about Granger for Millsap plus filler, but both rumors were from guys I knew who each had friends "with stron gties to the Jazz F.O.", So I try to avoid putting any value into what they said. I have heard it from a number of people. Nothing credible though.

I have to be honest, after watching Hibberts moves i don't think they can get much better no matter what he does to condition himself; for sure, RH has the edge on defense, but he isn't going to get more mobile by putting on weight either. Neither of them get up and down the court very fast, so I don't think either of them is going to be a real good match next to Favors, who can run all day.

You're gonna get a non-starter, cap space, or an equally flawed starter. I'd be fine with just cap space. Full rebuild O'connor... please!

The DUDE is a stud. 20-10 guy who is working out hard this summer and will be a stud next yr. You are crazy to want to trade the guy. Favors and him could be great together along with say another big like Kanter off the bench and the Jazz could have one of the best 3 big man rotations in the league. It's weird how you don't see what Jefferson can bring to a team????

Millsap, Jefferson, Favors, is already one of the best 3 big man rotations in the league IMO. Drafting Kanter makes things complicated and that's why these trade threads keep popping up.

Millsap is the odd man out. He will need to be moved for a true 3 man. Granger or someone like that. Kanter gives us more size, which Millsap just can't provide. I love the guy but lets get real.... Millsap is just to small and isn't cut out to be a starter in this league and I think he wouldn't be ok with coming off of the bench for the Jazz.

Stats and losses. Based on his track record so far that's what Al Jefferson brings to a team. I'd love to be proven wrong.

He doesn't space the floor, slows down the offense with his pump faking, isn't a great rebounder, and is overrated on defense just because he gets the occasional block. He's Boozer 2.0, a little bigger, same flaws. If he had a reliable jumper, he'd at least space the floor, but he's just not consistent enough with it.

He's also too old for this team. Our core is gonna be around age 20, he's 26 with 8 years in the league (I also don't want granger for the same reason, these are guys who have peaked and would be great with deron, but don't make as much sense anymore). His rebounding percentage has fallen every year the past 3 or 4 years. He's only gonna get slower and worse on defense. I want this team to peak in 4-6 years, not 2-3. If we trade him and devin early next year, we're looking at a 20-30 win season, a great pick in a great draft, and the best environment to develop our sophomores and rookies. I really wish the front office would just be patient, and not worry about playoffs or filling the seats next year.

I like keeping paul over him because (1) his contract, (2) ability to come off the bench, (3) he could not be a better role model for derrick in terms of working on his shot, hustle and general attitude. I like al, I don't think he's lazy, but he isn't a great fit IMO.

AJ

For

JS= You wish
AV, RS and TPe= maybe, but cavs overrate AV, and don't want AJ
AI+ 16= LOL, Philly's rebuilding and AJ isn't iggy worth
CL and KM= Houston's high on CL, KM straight up could work, but you already have DH
Gallo, Felton and Anderson= Gallo(hell no), Felton and Anderson is more like it.

AJ is worth Darko and Webster or Andre Miller and Fernandez. You'll get good role players back. or mid round pick. IMO

I'm a Wolves fan who peeked over here to get a feel for what the Jazz were thinking with the #3 pick and I saw this thread... this is almost a mirror image of what we were discussing last summer and look at how little we were able to get for him. I think most of you agree that he has a ton of individual skill, but there's one thing that has been a constant for him his entire career in Boston, MN and Utah... he doesn't win. He's a black hole on offense, he plays no defense (even though he'll get some blocks) and he'll never be a main guy on a contender.
