Toronto Trade Idea

Post#1 » by Beto » Fri Jun 17, 2011 5:53 am

The rumors regarding Harris and Millsap got me thinking....

Raptors send the #5 and use the C. Bosh expiring trade exception.
Raptors get the #12 and Harris.

Jazz send Harris and #12 pick
Jazz get the #5 pick.

Jazz do this to draft Knight and Kanter. With Harris gone, Knight probably starts unless we resign Watson. Kanter learns and adjust as a back up.

Raptors do this to get a PG, to use the expiring trade exception and acquire a player at #12.

What do you guys think? Do Jazz do this? What about Raptors?

Ehh honestly not too thrilled about getting a player like Devin Harris...I'd rather draft Kemba or Knight from a raptors perspective, a player who's age more fits in with the youth in the organization, plus Devin Harris is not worth a top 5 pick.

Depending on the outcome of the CBA negotiations, that exception is likely to be worth much more.

The exception expires before the the official CBA lockout doesn't it? They'd have to use it on draft night or shortly after. Either way the Jazz are raping the hell out of Toronto. No way they trade the #5 to move down and get Harris. Put Millsap in the deal and maybe someone thinks about it.
