For both the Jazz and Jimmer the Jazz cannot draft him. It will be to much of a Circus that both parties will not succeed. The best thing for both the Jazz and Jimmer is for him not to play in Utah.

That's a very valid point. Welcome to RealGM by the way. I do think this could have gone in an existing Jimmer thread though.

I want the circus in Utah! It will put fans in the stands and provide excitement for the fans. There is nothing wrong with that. As long as Jimmer can handle it, which he seems to do very well. He also provides a need of outside shooting as well as a 3rd guard off the bench. Im sure he can handle the ball at least as good as Ronnie Price. A very good pick at 12!

How will it be a circus? I am not saying that I want Jimmer but basing it solely on not wanting a circus atmosphere is crazy to me.

You don't trade/sign: D Howard, LeBron, D Rose, D Wade, or similar player because it would create a circus?

I better be getting more than a Ronnie Price replacement at 12.

That's a different kind of circus where sky high expectations are reasonable.

Look at the history of the #12 and you usually do get a Ronnie Price quality player. People are way too high on this pick.

As for the circus talk, if it's not something the Jazz organization could handle, then that is really sad. Very sad...

The organization will handle it, KSL, Gordon Monson and Alema Harrinton won't.

LOL this thread is an absolute joke. What, are the media going to be asking for Corbins head if Jimmer sits a game? Who gives a crap about KSL, Gordon Monson and Alema Harrington anyway? I honestly think you guys are out to lunch on this.

Not me! The Jazz will take Jimmer if they feel he helps the team the most, and will not take him if someone else fit that bill. That's it.

Jimmer can spend his career standing on the 3 point line for all I care, just as long as it opens up the front court's game.

+1

plus about "circus" peps, my dear fellow JazzFans, we are now anonymous team and imo we need guy that will bring attention of masses, some of you may say that this is irrelevant, but if Jimmer will play good having such a "frontman" is key to marketing/financial success of a team, and Fredette knows how to handle that, he wont get crazy cuz fame. He knows how to deal with pressure and that will only make things easier for his teammates because major media attention will be on his shoulders.

Jimmer is going to open up the middle for anyone he plays for. But he will be far more dynamic than Korver. I kinda would like the Jazz to take him because he'll probably play right away and give the Jazz a great guard rotation with plenty of scoring & playmaking ability.

That circus isn't just reserved for SLC, though. When he starts hitting long range bombs and changing games it'll be a circus anywhere.

Why do you wish he was taller? He's taller and stronger than several of the top PG's in the NBA.

And I completely disagree with the OP's notion. Let's hypothesize that the Jazz are convinced Jimmer is the best pick when it comes time to make the 12th selection. You don't pass on the better/preferred player just because of "pressure" or public opinion. The Jazz and Jimmer can both handle it.
