If TWolves draft Kanter......

If TWolves doesnt make a trade then it looks like they are leaning towards taking Kanter. I get the feeling that the TWolves is wanting a bit too much in return for the #2 pick in a weak draft. If the jazz get DWill do you think we should trade Millsap? Do you think we should trade DWill and get B Knight? What if TWolves offer the Jazz #2 for #3 and #12? I think we decline and let them think were taking Kanter. What would you guys do if DWill is available when we draft?

KOC has said one thing about the draft-- BPA. If Derrick survives past the second pick, I'm pretty sold on Utah picking him up.
I wouldn't mind a Millsap trade-- I really want Favors starting. Honestly, I'd love Millsap off the bench. He can bitch about it all he wants, but he has a huge SMOTY potential.

If Williams is there at 3, we take him and do a happy dance. Then, if one of Valanciunus or Biyombo is available at 12, we take him and prepare a small but tasteful sacrifice in gratitude to Potentialus, the god of the NBA draft.

I'd rather have Knight. But I certainly wouldn't be opposed to Williams, I just don't think he'll be as good as Millsap.

Intriguing is that only rumor, T'Wolves spreading it to make some deal happened, or they are really sold on Kanter ?
Probably most of you guys are happy to hear that, but i will by some how little disappointment as my fav picks are Kanter/Jimmer in this draft.

What do you think Cavs do at #4 if
1 Irving
2 Kanter
3 Williams
4 ???
Millsap isnt going to be happy coming off the bench. Do you think we try and trade Millsap and #12 for the #4 and take B Knight? Basically we get Knight and save some salary to use elsewhere in free agency.

If TWolves draft Kanter.... He will be Darko 2.0
But yea I'll be estatic if this happens. It gives us a lot of versatility since he can play both foward positions. Millsap gotta be traded tho because Williams would essentially be the Starting SF/Main Backup PF. Whatever we do, we need to get a starting pg or center in this draft because next year's draft is weak at those two positions right now.
And just for fun, if the cavs were to offer a package that included their first round pick next year and hickson for williams and whatever, would you bite?

Darko 1.0 is working out pretty nice for them right now... not worth the 2nd but still...

I'd laugh for days if Williams falls to us. The guy is a stud, potentially the top player in the draft, and we wouldn't have had to give up anything for him. Then millsap becomes a very good center piece around acquiring the pg you want.

Agreed. It would be the Timberwolves giving us a Christmas present for the second year in a row. The best part about it is I seriously think David Kahn is stupid enough to pass on Williams.

What PG? A pg in this draft or a veteran pg like Andre miller, tony parker or steve nash that we could package with Millsap and #12?

What does it take for people to get it through their heads that Williams is going to be a SF in the NBA. We let AK go, frees up tons of minutes for him. Stop listening to Locke's shrill, meaningless garble about him being an "undersized PF". He played on the perimeter all year and shot the lights out, and his handles/athleticism is a hell of a lot better than Millsap as an option at the 3.

I agree i think his game in the nba translate to sf kind of like carmelo. He reminds me of a rich mans Donyell marshall.

Agreed, Williams is definitely a 3 who can play spot mins at the 4. In all honesty, adding him makes Utah a title contender within 4 years if they do it right.
Harris-Watson-Price
Hayward-Miles-Bell
Williams-re-signed AK?
Favors-Millsap
Jefferson-Okur
Expect Memo to be hurt again though, so you'll have Sexual Favors, Millsap and Jefferson rotating the 4 and 5 spots. That makes them one of the deepest front court teams, and should put them right back into the playoffs next season
I like picking Williams over Knight because Utah still has Harris, he's signed on for like 3 more years
and for at least that time, Harris will be the better player
Or you guys forget that we can make Millsap and Memo's huge expiring contract available, should be able to get some big time talent in return

Ya, it's a dream that Williams slips to us at #3. Even if he is worse case scenario and doesn't translate to the 3 spot we can shift Favors to the C and start Williams at the 4. Could you imagine the match-up nightmare those two would cause with how athletic they are? They would be dunking on everyone....
If you somehow get Williams to rotate to the 3 spot then you have Williams/Favors/Jefferson...that's gotta be one of the youngest and best front courts a team has seen in years....that's just stupid good.
