Good basketball IQ, Good Character, Excellent shooter, Wants to play for the Jazz, Good for marketing, Respect from the NBA.
First off the NBA likes players to succeed if they are good marketing tools and sometimes they even get the benefit of some calls to help them out. Not only that, but Fredette has played against players like D Rose and K Durrant during the Olympic try outs and even impressed them guys. He has impressed at every workout he has gone too and not only by his shooting ability. Sacramento said he moves faster on defense and he passed the ball better than what they expected and dominated the workout. It was reported at the Jazz workout that Jimmer was able to stay in front of Kimba Walker for the most part, Im not even sure DWill could have done that.
One thing I noticed about Fredette is that he was double and tripled team alot during the year and Kemba wasnt so much. Kimba Walker also had better talent around him to work with as to where Fredette had to do alot more on his own. Im interested in seeing how Fredette would play if he had some talented teammates. Would he pass first? Or would he be a selfish player? The other point I have is that Kemba could never be able to guard a player like DWill where Jimmer might have a chance because of his strenght. I can see DWill posting up Walker all day long. While Fredette has some questions so does everyone at #12. The one thing I can guarantee you is that he has a killer crossover dribble and he can shoot the ball. I do however think Kimba is a clutch shooter with the game on the line.
