Jazz unsure about the Jimmer

Post#1 » by HolyToledo » Thu Jun 23, 2011 7:51 pm

KOC notified the Jimmer camp that the Jazz front office is extremely divided about picking him at pick 12. It looks like he will be available there as well. Source ESPN

I am a little surprised that the Jazz went out of their way to contact him to notify him of this. Maybe the Jazz will not be picking him even if he is there for the taking at 12. I hope they do pick him as he will be in the league for a long time worst case scenario JJ Ridick/Eddie House.

I went to ESPN and found the link:

http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_ ... for-jimmer

I'm really not surprised. Been saying it for some time. However, this does NOT mean he won't be selected by the Jazz. Lots of scenarios he still ends up on Jazz. Trades can still happen, including for picks, etc.

the best thing that can happen to KOC tonight is Jimmer being taken before 12, that way, it's out of his hands. I'd hate to be him whether he takes Jimmer or not.

Can't this be in the Jimmer thread? Things are going to start getting crazy here in an hour or two, especially if every new post is created as a new thread.

If they have a choice between Kemba and Jimmer at twelve, I see them taking the former. It's my preference too, but I won't put a Beretta in my mouth if we end up with Jimmer.

I guess I am just being a onrey old man. I just figured that this was kind of mentioned before and there is a thread about Jimmer and an official draft thread.

On ESPN this morning, Chad Ford and another analyst both said that Jazz like Kemba more than Jimmer.

I watched that and I am pretty sure he said "i would think that walker is ahead of jimmer on the jazz's draft board." Or something to that effect. Ford has said multiple times that he has no idea what the Jazz will do. everything is just speculation

I would guess that his speculation is much better than most on here.

Ha i dont think so. He is the one that said this las night, "I think I'm going to have my 6 year old daughter Summer do Mock 7. She's got as good of a chance of getting it right as I do."

Even he is admitting that his opinion doesnt mean much

It is a bit tongue in cheek what he said.

He has watched 10 times as much film and contacts within organizations than anybody on our board.

I never said that he didnt know more. All I said was that when he talked about kemba it sounded more like an opinion than from any of his sources.

Kings just moved down to #10. Jimmer won't be there at 12...he is going to the Kings.

If he's there at 12, I am sure they will take him.
But I don't think he'll be there at 12.
In '03-'04, Jerry Sloan coached the ESPN predicted "worst team of all time" to 42-40.

Source?

NVM, answering my own question.

Too bad, I'm really hoping that if he doesn't go to Utah, he will go to a more visible team...
