What is point of keeping al and harris around? They are only going to get older and slower by the time our young players develop into starters. I want to keep millsap because our young guys need to have a lesson about hard work, look how far he came. Keeping al around will only limit the minutes we can give our young bigs, hurting their development. The trade of big al for nash is the opposite of what we need, we need to go after more young talent to build this team around.start firing trade suggestion in the thread, use espn trade checker.

We aren't going to get back equal value for them now. Harris is needed as a point guard.

You really feel comfortable starting Kanter at 5 immediately and having only Okur as a backup? And if you trade Al you realize 'Sap still has to come off the bench because Favors needs to start? And there is no way Paul is going to take coming off the bench with a fuss.

So of the bigs to go, if Millsap isn't going to gladly become a top 6 man he's the one to go, and even if he will accept it, he still might need to go to get an outside shooter. Without Al we have nobody who can consistently work down low on the block. Al must stay.

And why trade Harris? Who would play point? And trading him will not somehow get us a better point guard in return. Let's play his contract out and see where it takes us.

This is not meant as any personal attack on you nor anybody thinking this. I am just asking questions that would need to be considered.

Keep both these guys, and as much as I have liked 'Sap and he represents what the franchise stands for, he is the best option to trade and return fair value.

Now is the time to wait and see what happens with the new CBA. That's all that matters right now.

We don't know if Okur is coming back, so we very much still need Jefferson...... In addition to the fact that he's just a really good player......

How many Centers out there averaged 18.6 points and 9.7 rebounds, with 153 blocks? At age 26, on a reasonable contract?

I know all the issues about his defense, but that also had to do with the fact he played the majority of his minutes with Millsap, who wasn't exactly stellar on defense either (7.7 rebounds a game, really MIllsap????)...... Put him next to Favors and I think that situation changes dramatically......

Plus, I don't think Knater is going to be ready to start from day one......

Al is a great guy. Great Player. But he is a follower. Utah have to have leader on the floor. But we don't have that player yet.

If we're to trade Millsap we need more than Hamilton. No need to bring a guy like him in, at least not for Millsap. We could get a better package than that.

Personally I think we should have drafted Kawhi Leonard and traded Millsap + GSW pick to Houston for Kevin Martin + Budinger or Dragic. Either shores up our future at SG and SF or gives us a long time badass energetic backup PG. Dragic would fit right in. Nets games would be epic (Vujacic vs. Dragic AND D-Will vs. Jazz = INTENSITY. )

Guess it still could happen but I doubt it since Houston picked up Marcus Morris. Tell me that Morey wouldn't have jumped at that. He loves him some future assets and undersized PF's.

I think Iggy would be a great piece for us, had it been prior to the D-Will trade.

Unless Philly has a semi young shooter at the 2/3 that they'd toss in (while accepting Bell, no longer a shooter), then I doubt the Jazz would do this, at least not in the offseason.

Al's owed $14M then $15M.

If the money was even I'd do it, but I don't think the Jazz would touch this.

Maybe if it was Raja + Jefferson for Iguodala. I'd be tempted by that.

First off, Al Jefferson and Devin Harris were two of the players in the NBA whose games I disliked the most, before they were on Utah. I still don't like either of them, and pray that they won't be a part of the team's future. BUT, that being said, we need them both for next season, maybe even for 2 seasons.

Al is good for the team right now. You don't want Kanter starting in the NBA about not playing competitive basketball for 2 years. Even Kanter's biggest fans should know that's the right thing to do in their hearts. If Kanter looks ready by the trade deadline or end of season (when he becomes a 15mil expiring contract w/ great value at the weakest position in the NBA... aka: best non all-NBA trade asset ever)... then pull the trigger. Some team wanting to shed salaries or change directions will trade us a great player back, or a solid player back w/ some picks. But right now, we stay w/ Al. Even if you absolutely hate his offense, it's really only hurting the development of our PG, and we don't need Devin Harris to develop.

Devin Harris is good for the team right now. He didn't look THAT bad in the Jazz system after the first week, in those games where he wasn't injured. I was actually very impressed by how he's tried to adjust his game to fit more with what Corbin was trying to do. A lot of the inefficiencies last season you can't blame on him entirely, I would say at least 50% of the fault there lies with Corbin's inexperience as a head coach and some bad in-game play adjustments he makes. Harris is a good defender, is capable of running the offense, and can hit an open 3. He's not going to hurt anyone's development because he's capable of getting the ball where it needs to go (even if he always hesistates for .5 seconds before every damn pass), and we don't have a young PG we need to give minutes to to grow.

No trades, especially not for Iguodala's contract.

He Can run the offense (if he can not see for his open way to the basket)
and yes he can steal the ball man, because of his quickness.

I am very glad with Harris. Give his a chance to play full season with new team.

I think Harris will do better with a training camp under his belt, but there's still not a lot of evidence that he can really run the offense.

Foreign people are always so much more understanding and chill about things like this. Haha. Gotta love 'em.

With that said, I'm sadly an American and I am with Paper Face on this one.

Wow, really? You'd consider trading Millsap for Hamilton and the 25 million dollars he's owed and his terrible attitude? Just say no to Rip Hamilton!!!
