OTish: Stockton and Malone: Still bringing fans together

Ok, so I had to post something about this.
I was working out at the gym down here at SLCC today and someone turned one of the TV's onto NBATV. Well, today is "legends Monday" and for this particular Monday they're showing Stockton and Malone games all day. The particular game that was on was game 6 of the 97 WCF against the Rockets... and I'm not kidding you, more than half the people stopped working out to come over and watch.
It just kinda blew me away. I mean, it's been a long time since those guys have been playing yet they still bring people here in Utah together and get them excited. It's just crazy how much everyone here loves and respects them. I mean, I knew back in the day everyone was crazy about them but I never would have guessed that so many people (college aged students especially) would still care so much.
It was just really awesome. It helped remind me why I love the Jazz and basketball so much. There is just something about guys like Stockton and Malone that bring people together and get them excited, even years after they've left the game. It was really refreshing to see that after all this crap that's been going on with the lockout.
