I support some of those ideas, but he wrote this pretty terribly, awful article. The Pau Gasol superteam comparison makes roughly zero sense.

Agreed. Pretty solid article. Not sure what confusion may have been had with the Pau Gasol super team comparison. Seems about spot on.

There was no collusion involved at all in the Pau Gasol trade in the slightest and the idea that all players will leave small-market teams is a massive exaggeration. It's worse than many other articles that state the same thing and said it better months ago.

Except that this article focuses on the Jazz, which is the purpose of the article. If you read the lead in he says he's writing the article in response to questions he got on his blog, or Q&A, or something. Obviously a lot of Jazz fans hadn't seen these articles you are referencing. So, he wrote a short article summing up his points, for his readers. Sounds like a guy just doing his job to me. And he was comparing the Pau Gasol situation to super teams in general. Not the Heat, per say.
