With what is going on in NO, LA, Houston, Orl, and NJ, be very thankful that KOC traded Deron when he did. As much of a nightmare as this is to watch from the peanut gallery, imagine being qt the center of every rumor, and having to wonder what deal we are going to end up with.
Considering it looks like the top pieces to be had right now are Gasol, Brook Lopez, Odom, Scola, or Martin, we should all be thrilled we ended up with Harris, Favors, two lottery picks, and cash. Seriously, we are in a spot to rebuild, and have a potentially great core. The Hornets and Magic are likely looking at 30+ year old PF's, and some mid first rounders at best.
By being ahead of the game, KOC may have saved this franchise 3-4 seasons of lottery basketball to get the assets that we have today.
As much as I'm not thrilled with who we are bringing into camp over the next few weeks, knowing Favors, Kanter and Harris are here has me very excited for what is on our horizon. Job very well done.

KOC was very smart last year to make the deal he did. I like KOC alot. I am amazed at this Earl Watson Love fest. Why is back up PG such a high priority for Utah Jazz fans and its organization. We are talking about 10-15 min per game.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

Because that 10-15 min can be excruciating when it's guys like: Kieth Mcleod, Milt Palacio, Howard Eisley, Jason Hart, Brevin Knight, Ronnie Price. (though Ronnie is okay as a 3rd string)
On topic: I was grateful for the trade after all the drama with Melo and the Nuggets. Especially considering we potentially got a great return for it. I'm so glad as a Jazz fan I won't be having to sit through that drama and hope the team can get something semi-decent for a demanded trade. KOC made an excellent move there IMO.

because Harris is not known as the most durable player in the league. those 10 to 15 minutes could turn into a lot more very quickly

Ya, you guys are freaking out over Tinsley and Mcloud... could you imagine if we still had Deron right now?

15 minutes is like 1/4 of the game dude. A PG is the general out there. Mo came in with tons of energy and efficiency every game. He's the only decent backup PG available. Do you even remember how much guys like Jason Hart killed us?
