CP3 Trade

Now that LAL has dropped out of the running for CP3... the only logical place for CP3 to land is LAC. I just posted on the trade forum that LAC woud be stupid to do this. They will have the cap to sign him to a 4 year deal (the best he'll get next year if NOL holds onto him), and if they wait they will retain Gordon, their own pick and the Minnesota unprotected pick. Sure CP3 misses out on some $, but his future LAC team will have their own likely lottery pick, perhaps the #1 Overall Minnesota pick, Kaman off the books, DeAndre Jordan resigned etc..etc.etc.
The Hornets were just screwed by the NBA, and my belief is that it was a wise decision for NOL even though they don't know it. If they got Scola, Odom, Martin etc... they would be a middle of the road team. To get good in this league teams like the Jazz and NOL need to build through the draft and that means they need young pieces, and high draft picks. There is no more coveted pick this year than Minnesota's and Gordon would be a nice piece for them as well. However, I think they would be stupid to do it for the reasons listed above.
Now it would be a risk but if the Jazz pulled this off, they would be hoping that being able to offer him a full 5 yr deal and pairing him with Derrick Favors, Al, Hayward etc would be more inticing than what LAC has.
I think we could get it done for: Enes Kanter/GSW pick/Jazz future Pick/Devin Harris.
If it took Paul Milsap too, that would be too much. If it was Paul instead of Enes I would be less thrilled but still might consider it.
My premise is that you have to have stars to win in this league...this would give us that chance again.
It will be interesting if Dwight Howard does go to LAL, if Deron will bolt to Dallas, or if their would be a choice for him to go to LAC.... who would LAC choose? I would go Deron definately.
If faced with losing Deron this offseason does Deron see what the Jazz have bulit and want to come back here in a S&T to finish what he started?
