Yeah only way Rondos in a deal is if Favors is. I was thinkin JO's xpiring contrac, Bradley and Cliips first.

I think we'd need one more asset. Bradley isn't all that appealing. Maybe Boston's 2013 1st or JaJuan Johnson? I am a huge fan of Johnson, so others may disagree.

Clippers first is garbage since the Clippers should be pretty good this year. We don't care for or want JO or Bradley. We like Millsap and he has a GREAT contract, so why would we want to dump him or this package?

We will never give heros of jazz for trash. Another big city team think they can steal assassins of small teams. Get out!

He's available, but remember these things

1. He's a fan favorite. When Boozer was out nursing his many dainty injuries, Paul Millsap was playing through knee ligament tears to win games and coming back after a quarter to get some serious stitches done.

2. He's on a great contract. Portland front loaded his deal to try to steal him from us. We matched it, and after paying the up front costs, he's an absolute bargain, like one of the best contracts for what you get in the league. So a salary dump isn't what we're looking for.

3. We want talent in return, probably in the back court. And if we're going to use that talent, it's going to have to be good enough talent to play in front of our lottery pick wings Hayward and Burks their minutes, since we want to see them develop. I'm thinking Danny Granger type talent (or maybe a little less). Otherwise, maybe a Shane Battier type guy that can mentor and hit dagger shots with good defense. But it can't be someone that will get in the way of Burks and Hayward for no real purpose.

3. Its a compressed season. We have a log jam at the 4/5 spots, but in a season like this one it might be nice to rotate the legs like crazy and cover for the injuries that are going to happen. So even though we'd like to clear some space for the other bigs, we can make room for them in a way you can't in other seasons.

To me, Millsap is a guy that we could potentially build into a bigger package for an elite player. If we spun him and Kanter/Favors plus the GS pick and maybe Harris....that right there should be good enough to get CP3, imo.

Also maybe Rondo or someone else. I love him, and we're not giving him away for some other teams' trash. He's in his prime, cheap, talented and high character. That's a valuable asset. He could also be an All Star in the right system. You don't give that away for expiring contracts and a marginal prospect or pick.

He would be amazing in Boston.

To be honest i dont think Sap is available at this moment, first we have to see how things will stand when season will finally begin. Sap reflects Jazz values because nothing was given him for credit, thats why he is Fans favorite, I'm not saying that he is untradeable but his trade is not likely to happen, you simply dont deal guys like him even for slightly better players cuz he means to much for organization as it all

How about this trade. Rondo and O'Neal for Milsap and Harris?

I Love Milsap and do not wish to see him leave. But I also love Rondo. If the Jazz had Rondo, no need for Harris. Moving Milsap opens up time for Kanter and Favors. Jazz don't need or really want O'Neal but he is filler and serviceable big guy in case of foul troubles. Trade checker says yes.

i like Rondo he is good tough player, but im not sure that he would do much better in Jazz right now than Harris.

WOW!!! Your crazy man! Youl would trade Millsap, Kanter/Favors, GS pick and Harris for CP3? Not in this lifetime!!! He is small, always injured and would never stay here. Not to mention that he would never sign here. But most importantly David Stern WONT ever trade him anyway...

I do hope the Jazz admit that they are in rebuilding mode very soon, and start trading our best but most expensive players for picks and prospects.The Clippers pick is a move in the right direction.

Milsap, Harris, and/or Al should be dealt for picks and prospects.

If the Clippers do get CP3 then that devalues that pick quite a bit, so it is understandable why a contender would want to dump the pick for Milsap. But the Jazz should start considering these type of offers and give the young guns playing time.

that team is all most entirely made of prospects so i dont get what you are talking about, plus it's completely out of sens to deal all players who already know how to play for some youngsters, thats not how good teams are build

I can't see the Jazz keeping Millsap or Jefferson two years from now (Millsap will probably get David Lee money, 13m per. Not sure what Al will get. Plus, neither will want to come off the bench for Favors/Kanter) and I can't see the Jazz contending this year and both will probably be upset next year if they're getting limited minutes in contract years. Probably best to trade them now if they believe Kanter is good and they didn't just pick him because he was the best of a group of bad players.

Millsap is still only 26. He could be a great part of the rebuild for a long time to come, adding leadership and constancy, as long as he'd be willing to come off the bench instead of pursue the prime of his career where he can play starter minutes.
