Rudy Fernandez? Brewer?

Post#1 » by HolyToledo » Tue Dec 13, 2011 12:50 am

The Jazz can get Rudy Fernandez for basically nothing from the Mavericks who are trying to salary dump him along with Corey Brewer. Mavericks are trying to clear up cap room to make run at DWill in 2012.

Shawn Marion, Fernandez, and Brewer for Memo and Miles works under the cap and I guarantee the Mavs would do this deal. I am not sure the Jazz would make this deal bc get stuck with some contracts which will be around for 2 years or so.

Jazz lineup:

PG Harris Watson Tinsely
SG Heyward Fernandez Bell Burks
C Jefferson Kantor Favors
PF Favors Marion Millsap
SF Millsap Marion Brewer Burks
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

Fernandez is hot trash, and so is Brewer to an extent, but I like his defense.

Your trade is terrible, by the way. Marion is the complete opposite direction we need to go in, and I don't see Dallas in a hurry to get rid of him.

Terrible for who? The Jazz I assume is what you mean...Mavs do it in a second. Im not sure I would do it for the Jazz bc I like Memo helping Kantor. Miles is no loss so let home go back home to Texas, Memo gives them back up center. Jazz do it if they want some outside shooting and Marion to make a playoff run.

I'd take either of them for like a 2nd rounder but I wouldn't want to pay very much...errr, nothing for either of them. I do like both of them though and they would be good fits.

i think that trade would be great for Jazz, Brewer is good defender and Fernandez got some really offensive talent, if you say that

Marion was a key part of the Mavs championship run, that isn't going to change as long as Dirk is around. For us, Marion's contract runs three more years (maybe it's two) and he doesn't do much in the way of helping our young guys develop or getting us over the hump. CJ is what he is, and he's better than Fernandez or Brewer by a wide margin.

The only way I'm taking on either of those guys (I would prefer Brewer) would be if Beaubois is being thrown our way.

Fernandez is a talented player but not nearly as good as he thinks he is. Guy's way too conceded.

I don't see Kobe not owning us anytime soon Brewer or no Brewer.
