Kfan said today that the Jazz signed 6'2" Scottie Renolds of Villinova. Former All-American who was never drafted, but played over seas, and then finished last yead in the NBDL. [youtubehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNZX7FeS74s][/youtube]

Well, we obviously don't need any more big men.

Reynolds was a straight up baller in college. I'm actually pretty pleased that they brought him into camp. It's too bad he wasn't able to start practicing until today though... gonna be hard to make an impression.

He can shoot the ball. PG skills are Ronnie Price level, which is below par. He is Price with a better outside shot. He will try to beat out Tinsely which I doubt that would happen.

If Tinsley doesn't show anything, Reynolds could be a cheap filler for half the price of what Tinsley is going to cost.

Plus Tinsley has already missed two days with stomach flu symptoms. Not a good sign for him.

Huge drinker of the Scottie Kool-Aide here. Live a driver and a wedge from his high school and my kids went to school with him. I probably saw him 70+ times in HS and even went up to NOVA to see him a couple of times. I've probably seen as much Scottie as anyone. So, does he has a special NBA skill? Nope. Does he have a really decent NBA skill? Nope.
What the guy has is a work ethic and a will to win, or maybe a refusal to lose, that's second to no one. Don't sell the guy short. I did when he went to college and I loved him in HS.
Scottie went to Herndon and their arch-rival is South Lakes, where Grant Hill went. Grant's coach, Wendell Byrd, had this to say when asked to compare the two:
The difference is, when the games on the line, Scottie grabs it by the throat.
High school I know, but that's the kind of kid you're getting. Is he going to make you forget Stockton? Noooooooo. Is he the kind of kid you want on your team? Oh hell yes.
I'm now a huge Jazz fan. OK, I was (am) a Wizards fan. Ain't like I'm making a huge sacrifice here....

You better have a sense of humor if you're going to be a Wizards or Wolves fan.

Thanks Cramer. I almost care more about attitude than sheer talent to be honest. Sounds like the kid has a Jerry Sloan kind of attitude. Damn I miss Sloan. Stubborn as you guys may call him, I bet few would be counting us out of the playoffs now, while now I have seen people say we will be the absolute worst team out West. While if we were to miss the playoffs, I kind of wish it so we have the best chance in the lottery, but I HATE losing at the same time.
