Predict Jazz starting Lineup

Post#1 » by HolyToledo » Fri Dec 16, 2011 3:21 am

I predict Corbin will use this starting lineup opening night:

PG Harris
SG Heyward
C Jefferson
PF Millsap
SF Howard

top bench players: Miles, Favors, Memo, and Watson

I think the starting lineup should be:

PG Harris
SG Heyward
C Jefferson
PF Favors
SF Howard

top bench players: Millsap, Miles, Memo, and Watson
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

If we're talking specifically about opening night, I imagine we'll probably see:

PG: Harris
SG: Hayward
SF: Miles
PF: Millsap
C: Jefferson

I don't think we will see howard in the starting line up right away. he is behind in an already shortened training camp. He might start if he comes in and blows everyone out of the water which I would welcome but i just don't think it will happen. I think that this will be the lineup against the Blazers:

Harris
Bell
Hayward
Milsap
Jefferson

I don't think this will be the starting lineup forever. Whether it is by the season opener or a later date this is ultimately what I see for our starting lineup:

Harris
Hayward
Howard
Milsap
Jefferson

The only person I think deserves to start is Hayward. So I would say the competition is between Howard, CJ, Raja and Burks. Whoever does best with the other starters should start and then Hayward would start at the other position, 2 or 3, depending on who wins out.

+1, though I could see Howard and Favors starting from day one.

What I would like:

Harris
Burks
Hayward
Kanter
Favors

Youth plays and team tanks, best combination.

What will happen:

Harris
Bell
Hayward
Millsap
Al

I will kill myself if Bell starts. ATLEAST start Miles over him. Not that it would that much better, but Bell does absolutely nothing for us out there.

Bell starts I turn TV off in first minute then turn it on five minutes later hoping Bell is out of the game. Watching Bell play gives me heartburn.

The only thing Bell can do better than our other guards is flop.

I really don't want him starting.

I can see it happening, though.

Openung day starting is not a huge concern for me. The coaching staff seems less dogmatic now so it will work out over the season that the most worthy of minutes will get them.

I think if Corbin is smart he'll start the season with Millsap as the 6th man. If you move him to that role during the season it could be seen more like a demotion. It would look like he lost the starting job due to poor performance whereas if you set him up as the sixth man now, it seems like you're making a strategic decision to take advantage of his skill set.

I think we'll see:

C: Jefferson
PF: Favors
SF: Howard
SG: Hayward
PG: Harris

I think Millsap would probably ask for a trade if he came off the bench and got around 24 minutes a game. And coming off the bench and getting limited minutes would probably also destroy his trade value :/

If Millsap asks for a trade under those circumstances then he's not the guy I think he is. And if he's not the guy I think he is then I don't want him on the team any way.
