Kneejerk Reaction Poll: Who should go first?

Post#1 » by Rauxcee » Thu Dec 29, 2011 4:22 am

I'm usually just a lurker, but my curiosity got the better of me. Obviously this team has problems and I know there is a whole bunch of players we all think should go, so I'm wondering what the general consensus is on who we should dump first on the way to improving the team?

I'm personally torn between Harris and Corbin, though I'm probably leaning towards Corbin. I don't think he's a good coach, I haven't been impressed with one thing he's done since taking over. I'd hate for all of the young players to spend too much time under a bad coach. I know there are excuses in regards to the situation he's been put in, but I'm having a hard time accepting those excuses lately.

Should try to trade Harris and Jefferson before they finish killing their own value
Corbin can wait till the offseason

Tough decision. I want them all gone.

I voted Jefferson because then Corbin will almost have to play Favors and (gasp) run plays for him on the offensive end.

tough call.. but I voted Jefferson. The Jazz system has never been the same since he came over, he's VERY talented and shoots well but dang the ball doesn't move, and nobody cuts. Like happyparole said..force the offense through Favors instead.

Devin Harris is a close second, honestly Tinsley is getting better assists than he is..

(and then of course Bell/CJ come 3rd..)

I picked Harris. I just dont feel like he wants to be here, and his play is reflective of that.

I also picked Harris. He seems very disinterested and doesn't care what happens. He is just going through the motions.

maybe both of you are right but under Corbin even best prospect will look pretty bad, i vote for Corbin, i know its the easiest way to blame coach but our system is totally tragic, whole team looks horrible in def.

I'm fairly convinced that Harris is the source of all our problems.

I'm convinced it's Bell, though Harris and frankly Watson have both looked awful. I wouldn't object to seeing Tinsley get more minutes to be honest.

Start Tinsley...

Harris: 2 asst 2 t/o
Hayward: 7 asst 1 t/o

Pretty bad.. if this continues I hope Harris is benched at the very least.

*edit* correct me if I'm wrong but last night Harris had ..1 assist? So 2 games done and Harris has 3 assists total? Yeeeah...

I would have to say Harris at this point, but Harris and Jefferson are equal at this point. Raja is garbage, but his contract isn't very much.

The offense is designed to create assists from Hayward. He's one of the better passer's on the team, and knows how to pull the defense, so Corbin wants him to have a high assists total. Corbin figures that when you add Hayward's points plus points from his assists, he will be the highest scoring guy on the team most nights. If the game had been close Hayward would have played in the 4th quarter getting 3 to 5 more points plus 2 assists. Most nights Hayward will have 4 to 7 assists depending on how the open guy shoots the ball.

Hayward needs to learn to create his own shot more often. But he's doing what he is suppose to do.

Harris will get better as the season goes along. He has only played a handful of games with these guys. Give it some time.

When fans want to get rid of PG like Harris, he has to be replaced. With who? There's no one to trade for that's going to make the Jazz better. The only thing that will make the Jazz better is experience.

This.

Bell is my pick right now. Can't have him taking minutes from Burks.

Al has to be considered after that because of his contract.

If Burks is able to play, like he shows, he should be playing a lot of minutes.
Bell is done.
Better to package him to any draft pick.

I voted Corbin. In Turkey, the coach is always the scapegoat.

I don't see how experience and time with this team is going to get Harris to start trying hard. It might make him try even less if the team starts 0-10 or so.

It doesn't get any better than this. Well said.
