I hadn't looked at the standings this year, and as bad as the Jazz started, I was a little shocked to see the Jazz are sitting int he sixth position in the Western Conference. I know its early, but I didn't think the other teams in the conference were doing that bad. Also.....Dallas in last place in the conference? Wow.

At least Dallas and Memphis will be in playoffs, so we can fight for the 8th spot vs a bunch of no great teams. Houston, Wolves, Clippers can get that 8th spot too.
Portland, OKC, SA (altough without gino they can suck), LAL, Dallas and Memphis are almost locks.

well as long as the Jazz try to climb up and the Warriors go in the opposite direction who cares about the rest... although i would giglle a bit if the clippers were higher than the lakers

don't be so sure about memphis. they may be one of the first most obvious victims of this lockout season. with as raw and unprepared this jazz team seems to be, their 12-man deep roster will be paying off very quickly.

im counting memphis out. and san antonio and la will be struggling come feb or march. im tellin ya, once it starts clickin for the jazz, the 4 seed wont be outside the realm of possibilities.

*(and keep in mind, with the last lockout season, the defending champs also failed to make the playoffs. JUST SAYIN!)

Isn't this the exact opposite of what we want to happen if we're looking to the draft?

If you want picks in the 2012 draft, you want the Jazz to be terrible and the Warriors to be good.

:D
this next memphis game will be a good measuring stick.

but next month we'll be on our way up, and the teams that are up now may be on their way down.
