Did you know Utah Jazz is the team with most blocks per game in NBA (7.5)???
Seems like the frontcourt of Al, Paul, Favors and Kanter is working!!

a cant work out some of your Jazz posts about Jefferson not playing defence.
Has a total of 8 blocks already on the NBA leading Jazz. Favours only tied because he had 5 the other night.. confused from a far

Blocks often don't correlate with playing good defense.

true i understand that.. but he must be doing something right.. good team defense.. he cant guard five people at once.. he gets some nasty things said by the fans .. might not be the smartest player all the time but potentially a double double player.. and plays nearly all the games .. maybe im blinded a bit

He's making an effort this year to be better at team defense, but he's still the worst team defender of Utah's bigs.

Hard to say. Millsap gets beat by giving up offensive boards and being short. Kanter makes a lot of mistake. Even Favors fouls a lot. I'm not saying Jefferson is much better than any of them, but whatever differences there are between their team defense aren't really remarkable. All of them need work.

Jefferson has been mo bedda this year. He has taken some charges and over all done a good job. The times that is seems that he is getting beat is when the back court is getting beat to the middle. The rotation is not there yet. Probably because they are supposed to be pushing baseline but it's not like his middle rotation was good last year. The change in defence at least made him 50% better.

Even if we still fail to rotate and cover the interior like a good team defense should, it is a great change of pace from the old Boozer/Okur, glued-to-the-ground interior we used to have.

I remember that play. Jefferson back peddle to avoid a foul and favors had to come back to the paint to block that shot.
