http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/21 ... nse_StinksIt's really funny.... Now you'll be missing Sloan and his offense.

I'm not one of those Jazz fans who would boo if I did have tickets to the Nets game on Saturday, but this stuff makes me

hard. Hope you enjoy the Nets.

well surprise surpise Deron.. maybe Sloan had some good ideas after all.
Sorry but dont really care what Deron thinks. I actually think the Jazz did the right thing at the right time. if he signed long term we still could of built a team around him

It's not surprising when you're missing your only inside threat......

Petro

I DO have tickets to the Nets game, and I will be booing Deron. He overplayed his hand and got dealt and now he has to live with it, at least for this year. Somehow I think he'll be alright in the end, though, when he's wearing a Mavs or Lakers Jersey next year.
I won't cheer for the opposing team, but I hope Memo plays well. He really gave us Jazz fans all he had and if anyone ever maxed out their talent, it was him. I won't cheer him, but I certainly won't boo him either.

Lots of unneeded Deron hating in this thread. I guess the fact Deron gave us everything he had while he was here means nothing to some fans.

Why would anyone boo Deron? Guy didn't force his way out and had some really nice things to say about Utah after he was traded.
After being in NJ he turns around and still has his dodgeball charity event in SLC. Those that are going to boo Deron might as well stay home. You look foolish.

Yeah, I'm not going to hate Deron.
The only reason I'm not loving him it's he is so damn good I wish he'd be a Jazz player. For nothing more.

I cannot, for any reason, understand the anti-Deron sentiment that has cropped up here in SLC. The guy was my favorite NBA player for the past half decade--as he was for many others here--and I don't see how you can just flip that off.
Love him, love his game. I'm not a big fan of his off court personality, but Deron Williams the player....I'll take him on my team any day.
Although his 35% FG shooting is very confusing to my brain.

If he had left us, I'd be all about booing him. But we traded him. He was good for us and so is all the stuff we got for him. Gotta cheer.

I think that a lot of people sort of forced themselves into hating Deron as a way of accepting that he's gone now.

Anyone catch Tyrone's comments re: D-Will?
http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/blogsjazzn ... e.html.cspOn @tribjazz BTS quoted Ty as saying he kept in touch with Deron throughout the 2010-11 season.
Makes you wonder about Deron potentially coming back. But I think the biggest obstacle to that may be one I haven't seen anyone mention: KOC's friendship with Billy King. Signing D-Will back from NJ would be straight-up cold blooded.

I hate how Deron got scapegoated over Sloan quitting. Booing him would be stupid as Deron is the type of player that will go off on us if he feels slighted. No need to fuel his fire.

I'll be honest, if he would have walked and we got nothing I am not sure if i would not have some hard feelings towards him. But the fact that we traded him and we never will REALLY know if he waould have left I don't hate him or even dislike him. He did great things here not just on the basketball court. I respect him and hope he gets on a good team again. I won't be cheering for him at the game on Saturday but I would never boo him.

I think it has a lot to do with what ColdBlue says here

I think a lot of people believe that Deron is the reason Jerry left. I don't know what really happened and nobody that wasn't there does either. Dwill might be an **** off the court but on the court all he wants to do is win.
I would absolutely love for him to come back to the jazz but that just ain't gonna happen. Does anyone really think he'll pass on the extra cash and year that NJ is going to offer him to go back to a small market team that traded him?
