why less turnovers?

The Jazz have always been a team under Sloan that emphasized the extra pass which helped the Jazz usually lead the league in shooting but also turnovers. In fact, Dwill at times was a turnover machine. This year our assists are down but usually getting 20+ assists per game and Hayward getting alot of assists recently, but turnovers are way down. The Jazz shooting percentage also way down.
I can only explain this by the fact the Jazz are still passing the ball but not making the extra pass, but also not getting alot turnovers. I like the way we are playing but we need to hit some of these outside shots which will also help our assists totals. Of course, it is also clear our PG play needs to improve. Just seems weird to me to have games like the Lakers game where we had like only 11 turnovers.
