Mo Williams available

Clippers have too many PG and it looks like Mo might be the one dealt. Could we get him with the TPE from the Okur deal? I really liked Mo when he was here before and it seems he could get minutes at both guard spots off the bench. I definitely prefer him to Tinsley - thoughts?

The thing is Tinsley it's not playing... so why we want williams?
I mean, he is not very different to Harris. Not an improvement

I think he is an improvement over Harris, but Harris has started playing better. I would wait until trade deadline to make a decision on whether we can live with Harris/Watson as our PGS.

no thanks. Watson is playing well, and even harris is coming.... add that he's more talent and can guard some 2's.... no reason to trade for mo.

He's not the answer to our PG concerns...... He has an $8.5 million player option for next year...... And the Clippers are going to look to deal him for some frontcourt help, which we can't help them with....... So that's three strikes...... He's out......

Im not so sure about it, i mean ok i understand all the concerns but i think Mo could find his niche in Jazz team, we could yous his shooting/scoring abilities as #6 guy, plus lately he is doing quite good pg job.

Plus trading them the TPE for Mo gives them room to go after front court help...correct me if i'm wrong :D

The thing is, is he really that much better than Harris? Especially as a PG, not as a shooter, I would say he's not...... So if that's the case, why deal for him? Why add yet another backcourt player who is not in our long-term plans?

The only way we're trading Mo(who's our scorer off the bench) is if we can either get a real shooting guard or big men that can really help.

Some TPE won't do anything for us and we couldn't go after anyone with that alone.
We also have some cap space and a TPE(about 3.8 mil) left ourselves as well and Mo is our third guard behind CP3 and Billups, with Foye there as well and Bledsoe being out till about February.

He would fit our team really well. If the Clippers want to get Howard they may need to dump salary like Mo WIlliams. Since the Jazz have this trade exception, then maybe the Jazz take on his contract. We would have to cut Tinsley which makes Harris our 3rd string PG. That would be one expensive third string PG!

How does Harris go from 1st string to 3rd string by adding Mo Williams? Unless he significantly improves the PG situation why muck it up and add $8.5 mill to the cap figure? I thought they moved Memo to gain cap relief and have options later but is this where you want to burn that trade exception?
