Officially worried about Josh Howard?

Howard started the season great but has looked awful lately. He hasn't shot over 33% in a game since coming back. Washington fans(all 5 of them) were talking smack about how awful he is and i'm afraid they are right. He just doesn't look like the same player he used to be.

everyone has times when they play bad during the season. Howard is the least of our problems. If plays great then great if he sucks then get rid of him. The main issue the Jazz need to decide is where they go with this team in the off season. Do they trade away 2-3 players to get the superstar player we need or simply keep the team as it is and let the young guys grow hoping one of them can be that need superstar. Chris Paul proved yesterday the Clippers made the right move to get their guy, so we need to get our guy whoever that maybe.

Personally, I don't think Paul will sign an extension there unless they get another good player or swap Blake for Dwight. Blake is fun to watch, but he will never be the guy to get you a ring. His offensive game is quite limited, he is a defensive liability, and the flopping will get old in a 7 game series.
As for Howard, I was pretty mad at him for not taking more advantage of being guarded by a point in the post. He took two terrible fadeaway turnaround and clanked them both. He is a SF and if he can't just own a PG in the post, then he is a worthless SF. I thought he was looking pretty good before his injury, but has looked very bad since, even defensively. His rebounding has been quite poor as well.

threads like this drive me nuts.
The inability to see a bigger picture than what just happened in the last game is mind numbing.
I'm not even going to get into the why's or what fors concerning Josh
I'll just say this, these guys are human, they have bad days and good days.
They get hurt, they do not heal any faster than the rest of us.
Josh Howard has been and still is a fantastic addition to the Jazz.

he hasn't played well since before his injury. corbin needs to limit his minutes until he starts contributing again. he was a complete nonfactor last night and there's no excuse for how long he stayed in the game (especially the way the bench was playing).

LOL, what is your reasoning? When a SF can't take advantage of being guarded by point guards in the post, you have serious problems. I hope you are right and he turns out to be a great addition, but so far, he has been mediocre at best.

The least of our concersn is Josh howard i agree... Our in ability to knock down our free throws concerns me the most.. We hit 5 out of the missed 10 free throws last night and we are talking how good this team is... charity strip is killing us.. cost us against the lakers as well

Right, one game against a team that plays little or no defense, guarded by Wright(LOL), in an 18 point loss. Bravo. Now let's see some consistency against good competition and in close games.
By the way, he played pretty bad defense last night too, including just 2 rebounds in 40 minutes. The only person on the team that had less than him was Evans with 1 in 3 minutes. I'm still very concerned.

You say all this but do you really believe it?
Howard's line tonight: 1-6 FG, 2 points, 1 rebound, 0 assists in 14 minutes
Even when the jazz offense has a productive night, Howard isn't producing.

The biggest issue I have with Howard is that he rarely looks to make a pass on a play. Most of his passes after he gets the ball are after he's exhausted every attempt to get his own shot.

He has quit driving, which I think is just an issue of not being in shape after getting hurt again. He's pretty much a black hole, but also instant offense that we need. The emergence of Hayward and Miles has mitigated the effects of Howard's play, but we still need him to do better.
