Why dont the jazz go for it all in the next 2 years. Trade Burks and the Golden State pick, harris and the Okur execption for Steve Nash.

With Nash pushing the ball this team can do some damage. Go for it.

But conservative Jazz wont do it because they gotta think long term. This is the reason we may never see a championship ring in Utah.

Nash isn't putting this team over the top. Why waste the future for a first or second round loss in the playoffs this year? You don't win rings by making terrible moves. You only make huge moves when the guy still has a contract for a few years.

I like your thinking of going for it bc thats what it takes to win it all, BUT Nash is not the Answer. Nash is a terrible defensive player right now. He can still shoot and pass but Im not sure he is much of an up grade over Watson. If im trading away Burks and GSW pick and Harris Im getting a top notch PG like Rondo not an old stop gap PG.

I would love Nash on this team....but not at a high price.

I'd be willing to part with a package that is centered around either Al, Hayward, or Harris to make this trade.... with filler that involved one or more of Raja, CJ, Burks, or Jazz 1st Rounder.

I'd also be willing to take back Childress' contract.

Something like Al, Raja, and Jazz 1st for Nash, Childress, and 2nd Rounder....or perhaps Harris, Burks, and Jazz 1st for Nash and Childress.

I have always appreciated the skill set that Nash brings to the game. However, we are a young team, not a team competing for a title this year. Nash's age will not allow him to compete with this team in three years when our players will be approaching their prime. Trading any future piece, young player or draft choice, for him is poor management.

Pretty much this.

We are still a few years away from the Perkins trade.

I think with him around next year, we could really compete. How much better will our bigs be with a point guard like him. We are not getting Rondo, give that one up. But Nash is to be had and I think he has 2-3 more all star years in him.

I agree that Nash would make our team and especially the bigs a lot better. That being said, I'd only give up future assets like Burks and the GSW pick if I thought it was going to make us a legitimate title contender and, as good as Nash still is, I think it's extremely unlikely that he would do that. I'd love to trade for him if we could get him for something like Harris and a future pick or two (just not the GSW pick), but that's also extremely unlikely.

What a terrible overreaction. Trading a recent lottery and a potential lottery pick for a 38 year old point guard. Nash has never put any team over the top even those with stacked rosters (Dallas or Phoenix).

Utah has no business mortgaging their future for a year or two of 1st round exits. Rather they miss the playoffs and get a lottery pick in the upcoming draft than trade Burks and the GSW pick for that mess.

Wouldn't need to include burks the gs pick and harris would probably be enough

No, it wouldn't. The Suns aren't going to trade Nash for a pick that they might not get and a point guard who is overpaid and overrated. They'd have a much better time dealing with Indy who can absorb his contract and send something of value. Nash to the Jazz is a pipe dream.

I'd trade Harris and a Second. Take it or leave it Phoenix. No worries if you leave it. Nash might like the trade since he's buddies with Raja.
