With Rondo's fat guaranteed contract , how much trouble do you think he would give Corbin?
He's better left in Boston, but I would consider giving Boston CJ and Bell for a draft pick or two.

Fat contract? He has one of the best contracts around IMO. Name 20 players better than him. Of the top 20 players can you name one with a better contract that isn't a rookie contract? Maybe 1 or 2, I haven't really checked, but Rondo is a bargain with 3yrs/$36M left. He'll probably demand max money in 2015.

Just 20 players better? He's the third best player on a bad Celtics team. They actually have a better record when Rondo is injured this year.

I like Rondo's game but i don't get why so many people on here are so sold on him. Not sure his attitude is worth it.

Have you watched the Celtics lately? IMO he is the best player on that team.

Not he's not, KG still is and Pierce is the second best. Rondo is an average defender who commands almost no defensive attention in half-court.

The fact that they are trying so hard to trade the guy they should be planning their future around should worry every team that has any interest in him.

Well considering the tightening of the owner wallets now, 12 million per year seems pretty big to me. Considering role players are around 8 -10 million, the star of the team is usually higher, are they not? If we keep Harris can we afford to have two pg's taking a third of the teams salary?

Perkins was also a championship center.
He's one of the three worst starting centers in the league and one of the ten worst starters in the league.
Rondo is a lot better than Perkins, but all of the other role players surrounding the big 3 were shown to be super overrated and Rondo's stats are super average so there has to be some concern. And while Deron also had a bad attitude, he was an elite player which is still in question for Rondo.

I like Rondo. I'd easily give up Harris and Jefferson for him.

If people honestly think Perkins and Rondo are just role players around big 3, you don't know basketball. There's a reason Celts have fallen apart w/o Perkins, his defensive presence is overlooked since there's no stat for it. Rondo is a triple double threat every night and he's been a much more bigger threat scoring these past 2 seasons. His shot is improving still, and if Parker has been able to make a nice career out of his speed, all is good for Rondo.

Rondo does things that have nothing to do with the big 3.

I dislike Rajon Rondo, there's something about him that kinda irks me and I've never been a big fan of his game. However, I would be absolutely stoked if the Jazz managed to trade for him. He may be unable to shoot and have a bad attitude but he's also much, much better than any other PG they could realistically target in the near future and actually has a great contract. If you can really set up a trade involving Big Al and Harris for him, you take it and run.

The Celtics are 4th in the NBA in defense without Perkins and Perkins is complete garbage offensively.

I would do that trade in a second. You are not giving up enough even though Devin Harris has recently started playing well. Boston nevers agrees to this deal.
Harris, Jefferson, Miles, Bell, and the conditional GSW pick for Rondo, Allen and Oneil. Even though they are trying to trade Rondo, they will not trade him unless they get alot. Some of you might think adding the GSW pick is too much but remember Harris, Miles, and Bell have minimal value and as for Al Jefferson most teams in the league would not want him for free as they would have to pay his contract. Without the GSW pick being added or Hayward or Kanter we will not get Rondo.

I think people in Utah need to realize that if we ever want to have a chance to win a ring, we're going to have to add as much talent as we can knowing that we may have to take on some less than stellar personalities.
Salt Lake City won't ever be enough of a draw by itself, so being willing to put up with some personality deficiencies to acquire talent is going to have to be a part of our future.
We'll never win with nice guys, not sure why we as a fan base are so afraid of guys with an attitude.
