Here's another trade posted by Bleacher Report with Orlando, GSW and the Jazz in a 3 way deal.

This one won't happen for two reasons. 1. It appeared on Bleacher Report. 2. It's way complicated.

So many Jazz fans are willing to take on bad attitude players like Rondo Rajon just for the sake of getting a better PG as if that's the magic that's going to make Utah win.

To get out of Utah, guys like Rondo would just create problems until they had to be traded.

The Orlando trade give Utah a bunch of role players for half a season.

I did a quick scan of the trade and saw duhon going to Utah then proceeded to barf and forget I ever saw that.

And What rukus has rondo ever caused? All he does is play his butt off. Rondo couldve easily held out for money but he didn't so he's not some kind of diva. Plus he's signed for 3 more years, which we should be able to put up a competitive team by then.

Teams don't trade good PG's who are signed to long term contracts unless 1. they have another more talented PG 2. they're in financial trouble and need to move the contract off the books 3. the guys is a major pain in the ass.

Read my Rondo trade post to find out which reason is behind Boston's thinking.

Why would this even be considered? Even the author admits that Utah is giving up their top scorer and rebounder for...well.....nothing. His justification is that by moving their big expensive players for a draft pick, Kwame Brown's expiring, and several other nobody players they position themselves to rebuild from the ground up--like Oklahoma City. The position it puts the Jazz would be at ground zero so they would have no alternative but to build from the ground up. How many years has it taken OKC to build up to where they are? Are Jazz fans ready to wait that long hoping there is Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and other similar players they can pick up over the next better part of a decade? And for all the knocks Jefferson takes--if you get rid of him, which big man is going to provide any offense? The unbalanced games of Favors and Kanter are the main reasons they aren't getting more time already.

If Wright and Rush had longer contracts then this trade would insure good shooting for a few years, but since it doesn't it's basically 1/2 year loaner on one guy and another year on another. Also they probably play limited defense and are one dimensional and would drive us crazy on many other regards. The pick could be nice, especially if Howard left and the pick was a future pick. Still the pieces are pretty average at best and too many, we would have to drop some players next season since we would have 2-3 first round picks. The trade makes zero sense for Utah.
