How many more wins do we have with Kirilenko?

Post#1 » by babyjax13 » Sun Mar 4, 2012 6:09 am

If any? Just throwing a hypothetical out there, seems like an interesting question. I'll say 3-6, probably closer to 6. I'm not sure if that would be a good or a bad thing, it depends on what happens at the deadline.

I think there were a few games where AK would have helped us, but we are a young, streaky team. Maybe 1-3 more wins. I would prefer AK over Howard and CJ though. He has more skills than either of those two and more importantly can act as a secondary ball handler.

Even with him on this team, I don't think we would be more than a low playoff seed. We need to develop our young talent (and get some much needed shooters!)

Nothing too drastic, if any wins/losses at all.

Who knows. There's probably games that Howard/Hayward were good in that he would've sucked in.

I doubt more than 1 or 2 wins.

He was a good passer, and this team has not one. He was a 4 apg in this team sharing the ball with Deron, who was a pretty good passer.
Our starter pg is 4.5...

AK-47 was under-rated and would have been better with this team as we run more than we did with Sloan. I would say he would have gotten us 5-6 more wins.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

Who cares how many games the Jazz would have won with Kirilenko in the lineup?

But I was wondering how many games the Jazz would have won if they had traded for Dwight Howard?

Don't forget about getting more rebounding out of the 3...Hayward gives us very little there.

He'll be back. I just don't see why not. Makes too much sense with a new coach and new system, and so many new guys in Utah. I think it was Deron that didn't get along with AK, wasn't it? And he is too good to not give an offer to, now that the lock out is over. I'm not sure but I think the Jazz still have to upper hand on any offer; being he left the Jazz in the first place.

The only thing is if he wants to go after homeland fame and comfort, I guess he might stay in the "minor" leagues.

Oh, well his defense is tons better than any guy we have now that plays the SF or wing, and a hustler is contacious. And if he was on the court verses what we have now or offense won't have been any worse either, because of his passing skills. A person who can make assists always makes his team mates better on offense.

I'd say 10 games which is huge but, who knows.

I think we would have the same record. Since if we signed AK, then we would not have signed Howard. Howard gave us a couple of wins. AK would of gave us the same amount, and AK would be injured by now.

Probably have a week where he looked like a max player and help win 2-3 games but than he'll disappear again, get injured and jazz fans wonder why we overpaid him.

Remember AK was a really good cutter. Many of his points were dunk or layups after pass under the basket.

And yes he is an excellent team player who is willing to pass first!
His long arm made a lot of blocks, steal and most important deflections.

We need AK to be back next year.

prolly pretty accurate, IMO.

This team is emo. Pouty, streaky. Mr. Hyde one night, and then Dr. Jekyll the next. Adding Kirilenko won't do anything to change that. Without D-Will, AK might make the team more entertaining. But we would still be seeing a young team loaded with talent under-perform due to no real leadership.

what? uhh?

Howard has given us nothing really. How many minutes has he even played on average this year, he is averaging around 20 min and most of those have been backup min.

AK is a starter, he is a way better use of a roster spot than Howard is....at least now, this year. AK would be our best wing player on this team that desperately needs a better one.

Not for their comparative salaries. Ak wanted #10M abd Howard $2.5M.

i think that with healthy AK we would have easily got in to the play offs, specially now without Jerry and Williams as they both limit his usefulness for the team. I remember those times before we got Booz Memo Will and AK back then was really very good leader

I am not sure but I don't think that those extra wins, if any, would really help.
