I hope Sullinger drops to #10. I know we do not need bigs, and we need a point guard, guards and maybe a SF.

It says Autin Rivers will go 7th. I disagree. Now way does Gilcreat and Beal go after Rivers.

You should just post this in the draft thread. I don't think either of these are good picks at all. I am really starting to sour on Sullinger and Zellar just isn't good enough for us to use the 12th pick on him.

Also, these mock drafts aren't taking team needs into account at this point.

I could actually see us taking a center. A center might be BPA and if so might be nice to have especially if we let Jefferson go/trade him.

So, don't be surprised if we take someone from a position you don't consider a need.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

I think that this is discussed multiple times a year about NBADRAFT.net. They only do overall BPA all year long. I am not entirely sure, they may fine tune it with team needs until it gets really close to the actual draft but even then like I said I am not sure.

I think we should draft the best available talents with both our picks. The PG prospects in this draft are not good enough that we should reach on them. Get the best available talent and figure things out later.

I'm not sure why fans bother with all this draft speculation so many months before the draft. I guess they don't really have anything else to do with their time.

It's highly unlikely the Jazz will have two draft picks, and if they do, they'll likely be a trade for one of the picks.

Right now for a PG, I'm thinking the Jazz will probably resign D-Will and they won't need high pick to draft a big if they get D Howard.

I agree going BPA, but at 12 that is not Zellar - not by a long shot.

It changes quite a bit beginning 4-6 weeks before the draft. A player can drop from the top 3 all the way to the late teens or early 20s like Donatas Motiejunas, or can go from unlisted to top 5 like Jamak Crawford. It depends a lot on work outs and rumors.

That is why San Antonio didn't even work out Kawhi Leonard. He was ranked top 5, and the Spurs got him at 15.

Sorry. They do change it quite a bit when it is in that 4-6 week range before the draft. You are correct. I meant that nbadraft.net still at that time usually go with a straight BPA ranking for the majority of teams and don't really look at team needs versus players available.

It makes sense to list the BPA....instead of by team needs since we do not know the draft order yet.
