Jazz-Bucks Trade Idea

Post#1 » by HolyToledo » Fri Mar 9, 2012 6:52 pm

Bucks want to get rid of Jackson and now somewhat unhappy with Bogut.

Jazz trade Jefferson/Harris/Miles/GSW #1 pick for Bogut/Jackson/Udrih

The hard part would be giving up the GSW #1 pick and taking on Jackson. I think Milw does the deal bc of the pick but Jazz would have to love Bogut over Big Al. I would have to evaluate Big Al over the next two games if he continues to impress I keep him but if he regresses to his ball hog self then I would do this deal.

In the off season the Jazz could trade away their #1 pick plus Millsap for a PG.

Deal really depends how much you think Bogut is an upgrade over Big Al.

Bogut is always injured. No way I trade that many assets for a guy that has missed more than 50 games over the past 3 seasons.

There's no need to even include that #1 pick in the deal. Milwaukee jumps at the opportunity to add any talent at this point IMO.

Ugh. Bogut is always injured and Jackson/Udrih are overpaid. I'd rather just keep what we have. Bogut is a huge upgrade on defense, but not on offense.

Good point. Anyone who has seen Bogut play over the last few years knows that he is not a ball hog. But then again it's hard to hog the ball from injured list.

"Ball hog" Big Al > "Greg Oden v.2" Bogut

I'm all about Andrew Bogut, and would be willing to live with his injury-prone body, but we give up too much and take back a lot of garbage in that trade, in my opinion. I want no part of Beno Udrih or Stephen Jackson.

Stephen Jackson is the poster "not a jazz player" guy... nope

Jackson overslept Friday morning and coach Scott Skiles said he wouldn’t play. Shaun Livingston started in his place at shooting guard.

what talent? U cant give away Jefferson/Harris/or Miles like they cant get rid of Jackson. Some people may see thsi trade as simply GSW pick for Bogut. Im sure many MIlw fans think they are getting ripped off. Its a fair trade for both teams. It just depends if Milw thinks Jefferson has any value at 14 mil a year and whether the Jazz like Bogut at 12 mil alot more than Jefferson at 14 mil.

If Jefferson plays great next 2 games I let the team play out the season, but if he regresses back to being one of the most least efficient over paid players in the league why wouldnt you make this deal if Milw wants to do it.

I wouldn't give up on Andrew Bogut yet. Sure there are cases of guys getting injured and never recovering, but there are also the stories of guys like Grant Hill, Amare Stoudemire and (so far this year) Andrew Bynum.

But I wouldn't give up the GS pick in the deal outlined above.

Wow that trade SUCKS!!!!! what is the obsession with Bogut (always hurt)? Sorry Toledo, I get at least some enjoyment out of our guys (I wouldn't look forward to any of those players in a Jazz uni) :-?

Put Jennings somewhere to the equation, and then it would be something to discuss.

I'd slap KOC with a cheesesteak across his dumb fat head if he ever made this trade.

Bogut can't stay healthy, and SJax ruins locker rooms.

I'll counter offer...

Jazz out: Al Jefferson and Devin Harris.
Jazz in: Andrew Bogut, Bucks 1st round pick and Wesley Johnson.

Bucks out: Andrew Bogut, 1st round pick and Stephen Jackson.
Bucks in: Al Jefferson, Michael Beasley and Brad Miller.

Wolves out: Wesley Johnson, Michael Beasley and Brad Miller.
Wolves in: Devin Harris and Stephen Jackson.

I think it needs some tweaking but that's the basic framework.
